I 'M NOT THE ONE WHO NEEDS SAVING

Autumn, Zia, and Annalee all stood in Xavier's master bedroom as he carefully closes the door. His father is an architect, and his mother owns most of the business in town. Autumn remembers the first time he saw Xavier's bedroom, the night he had to carry him home cause he could barely walk. Autumn remembers wishing his life was that simple. Both successful parents and a room he would never want to leave. "Where were you?" Annalee asked Autumn as he barely even noticed her speaking. "At home. I guess", he answered half unsure. "So professor X, your mutants are all here. I think it's time you explain to us who this Evan character is.",

Zia said, slightly glancing out his 5-foot tall window. "I don't know how to explain it-", he made his way to Annalee, standing next to Autumn. "But I don't think Evan is not that much of a human," he said. "You got to be fucking kidding Me.", Zia let out a laugh. "You called us all here to tell us Evan is some supernatural ass who is just fucking with us," she said sarcastically. "Besides that, have you ever wondered why we all seem to know him, but we have no memory of him." Xavier's words echoed through the room before Annalee spoke, "He's right. I feel like there is just this huge gap in my mind, and I just can't seem to fill it." Zia stood with her hands on her side, meaning she's unsure or just confused in general about something. "Don't you guys just go to therapy for that," she said. "Yeah, we do, but this is different, Zia. It is about someone we all seem to be affected by." Annalee pointed out.

"Besides a few days ago, I went to Autumn's house and ended up at his. With some guy who kind of looked like him. But the weird part is I can't remember why I ended up there or why I even went to Autumn." Xavier said as everyone's eyes fell upon, Autumn. "You quiet about this all," Zia said. He knew all they said was true. He knew all their memories tampered. "Even if all of this true. We have nothing to prove that we right. All we have is blanked out memories and a guy that we don't know to blame." Autumn finally said. "You have to admit ever since you saw him; Autumn things have been insanely unusual," Zia said but, Autumn felt differently about all this. He felt there was more to just the voids in all of them. "I know," Autumn answered with his voice shallow. "We need to know what the fuck is going on. Otherwise, we all just going to be some puppets being strung on some line of a lunatic." Annalee said as Autumn walked away to the window. "So what do you all suggest we do.", He asked, staring down at the grass. Evan's face flashes in his mind, smiling at him and lying next to him. "I have a plan," Xavier said, taking Annalee's hand. Autumn could see the reflection in the mirror before he turned away. "But we all need to leave. Now", he commanded.

Autumn packed his backpack with whatever clean clothes he has. "I need to do some laundry." he said after he got everything and head downstairs. His father was out again. He left a note on the kitchen counter saying he'll be back tomorrow. Xavier waited for him outside. They left saying nothing to each other at all. Xavier doesn't have the words to speak to Autumn. They drove up the mountain, far out of town until they arrived at a house hidden far away. "Who's house is this?" Autumn asked, grabbing his stuff out of the car. "My dad's. He comes here if he wants to run away from us. Alone time as he would put It.", Xavier said, locking his car. "Well, this is a bit too much or too big for alone time." Autumn said as they walked inside. "Who said he was alone here." Xavier hinted. "I guess we all have our family shit." Autumn replied. The house was cabin decorated. Brown wooden floor everywhere. Fireplace and cameras in every inch of the house. "Took you guys long enough." Annalee said, taking some drinks out of the fridge. "Xavier, your dad owns this place right. So why haven't we been living here." Zia asked, looking around the house. "Because he would rather hold me, hostage, than let me live anywhere else." Xavier said, throwing his stuff on the nearest couch. Annalee gave them a glass of wine as they all stood around the kitchen table. "So your plan is for us to be locked up in this bomb ass house. Which I might add has Wi-Fi, cable, a hot tub, so many bathrooms, and free food. Just so that we can figure out what demonic spirit Evan is -", Zaid said as Xavier agreed yes. "Why the hell have we not done this a long time ago." she cheered. They all laughed as they drank from their glasses. Autumn stood with a half-full glass still in his hands. "The plan is actually to see what happens when we remember who Evan is.", Annalee announced. "That is the purpose of the cameras. It records 24/7 feed of the living room. So that is where we are going to spend most of our time." Xavier added. "Okay, so before we all go full, remembering Evan. Let's get wasted bitches." Zia said, grabbing alcohol from the wine cabinet in the kitchen. They all cheered, but Autumn just stood there. Wondering what is wrong with him and why he can't even have just one moment. A break away from his self-absorbed emotions. The day continued into the night. The house filled with music and loud cheering. Autumn stood and watched them embarrass themselves as he sipped from his second drink. Xavier and Annalee were way past the point of sober, and Zia sat on the couch laughing as Annalee tries to seduce Xavier. Autumn joined Zia on the couch as she kept him locked in her arms. "I think we should start now." Autumn shouted over the music. Zia got up and turned it off. "Autumn said we should start the sacrificial ceremony now, guys. So take your seats and let us begin." Zia announced, falling back down on the couch. Annalee sat down in the seat across from them. Xavier whipped his cheek before he finally spoke. "I know we are a bit wasted now besides my boy Autumn." Xavier pointed to Autumn drunk laughing. "But we have to get to the point of this fucker." he said, almost stumbling over his feet. "I need everyone to talk about the memories that don't make sense." he said, sitting next to Annalee. "Okay, I'll go first." Zia said as if she's about to present her essay. "I don't remember anything at the party and what happened. I don't remember meeting Evan although I was the one who told him to come over at the diner. I only did that because I thought I knew him from somewhere. That I saw him." she sat down after she was done speaking. "I can't remember why Xavier and I were not talking to Autumn. I do not remember what happened that day because I woke up confused and a text on my phone from Xavier saying he's by Autumn for help. I don't know what happened at the party either beside us coming in and drinking with Evan.", Annalee explained. Xavier spoke after Autumn didn't say anything. "I don't remember who is as well. Or why I went to Autumn's house that day. All I know is that you needed help and I couldn't go to Zia at all. I remember going to Evan's house instead of Autumn's. I don't know why all I know is that I felt like I went there before. There was a guy there with him. Tall same hair and brown eyes, it seemed like his brother. I left and went to Autumn. What did we speak about anyway?" he asked Autumn. Autumn felt them staring at him. Waiting for an answer. He as well does not even know why. "I don't know. All I remember is seeing Evan the whole day. You guys were not talking to me. Xavier came over, and he said that-", Autumn felt his body went cold. "What is it?" Zia asked. He stared at Xavier before saying, "You came over because there was something wrong with Annalee. You said she was paranoid and talking about killing someone." Zia's eyes zoom back to Annalee. "That must be wrong because I don't remember that happening." she said. "After that, you got paranoid Autumn. You said something about dreams and asking me how long she had It.", Xavier pointed out. "I remember you talking about the dreams you had that kept you up at night." Zia said, remembering their conversation in the car. "Zia, you also mentioned something at the party after you collapsed. You said that we all did something. Something bad." Autumn said as Zia lowered back into the couch. Tears were running from her eyes. "I remember why we weren't talking to Autumn." Annalee said to Xavier. "We argued about him. About how you choose-", Xavier fled up from his chair and walked away from the conversation. Autumn felt his heart rising in his chest. "What did you and Evan spoke about at the party Xavier?" Annalee asked, trying to walk up to him. "I don't remember." he lied and walked away from her. Zia was still sobbing in her hands as Autumn sat with his heart in hands. "I kissed Evan.", he said, and the whole room went quiet. Autumn didn't hear himself say those words. He had no memory of it, but he knew it was going to get their attention. "When the fuck did that happen?" Jealous Xavier shouted as he sat down in his chair. "Today, I think. I went over to him, and we spoke. I wanted to confront him, but he made it hard for me even to ask anything. So we laid down on the grass, and we kissed." Autumn knew there was more to his half-truth story. "What the fault in the stars bullshit was that Autumn. You could have at least gotten something out of him." Xavier was angry. Angry at the fact of Autumn having feelings towards Evan than him. "You are the last one to speak!" Zia stormed up from the couch as Annalee knew what was about to happen. "You are just fucking lying to yourself because you can't deal with the fact that your bi-sexual and you most probably had Evan all over you at that fucking party.", Zia calmed herself down. "I need a fucking drink.", she said and stormed off to the kitchen. "She's right." Annalee replied. "I know that you love him-", Xavier crumbled in tears as Autumn tried hard, not cry. "I know you always run to him when you drunk, and I saw you kiss him at my parent's anniversary. I knew all along, but I also know that you love me just as much. So that's why you have to choose. Me or him." Autumn stood up and called out Annalee. "He doesn't have to choose. He got you, and that's all he needs. I'm just some high fantasy for him." Autumn could see the pain in Xavier's eyes. "You right. He's right." he said and leaned his head against Annalee. "I'm not the one who needs saving." Xavier cried. "You right. We all do." Autumn replied. "All we did was tear each other apart. Nothing about Evan Stone and how he tried to get away with cursing us all." Zia said, sitting down next to Autumn. The room went quiet as they all hang on the words Zia just said. "He's Evan Stone.", Xavier said, remembering. Autumn watched as their faces filled with hate. "What?" he asked as Zia moved over to them. Autumn rose from the couch as they stood there, looking at him with so much vengeance on their faces. "You motherfucker." Annalee said. The cameras and lights all started bursting from room to room. Pain strung through Autumn's head as he fell to the ground screaming. Zia walked over to him. "I hope you fucking burn in hell." she said. Autumn couldn't stop screaming of the pain. "What is happening to me.", he cried. "It's payback for what you did to us. For him." Xavier said as Autumn could feel the pain intensifying through his body. Autumn, let out one last scream as the windows all burst, and the three of them all falling unto the ground unconscious. He fell, numbly unable to move. He saw footsteps approaching them before his eyes shut closed.
