GET HIM BACK

"I'm not going to ask again. What the hell are you doing here?" Ashley burst through them, shutting the closet door shut. "We can ask you the same thing. Why do you have a dead body in your closet? And what the fuck is all these pictures for. It's creepy as shit." Zia moved aside as Ashely start removing the pictures from the wall. "It's complicated." Ashely threw the folded-up photos in the bin. "Where's Autumn? I need to know if he's okay." She asked. "Didn't you see him downstairs when you came up?" Xavier asked. Ashley paced from corner to corner, ripping off the pictures from each wall. "I was not downstairs. I was in another room when I heard you guys in here. Is Autumn alive?" Ashley stopped moving around and faced them. "He's alive, but he's unconscious and in a different reality than us. So explain why you have Jacob, who's supposed to be dead in your closet?" Zia demanded an answer as Ashley spiral around the question. "Well, he has been alive ever since you guys killed him. I know you are going to ask how that is possible, but I linked Autumn's life to his." Ashley explained. "You did fucking what!" Zia yelled. "Why is he locked up then, and what is it with the pictures?" Xavier asked. Evan remarked on her being crazy as Zia to Xavier. "He doesn't have many memories of anything, so I filled the room with the important stuff. I locked him up because a few hours ago, he went ballistic and tried to kill me. Then he fell into a deep sleep. I tried contacting Autumn, but he didn't answer, so I knew something was wrong." Zia opened the closet, stared at Jacob, and then shut it close again. "Why does no one just stay dead anymore. I mean, it's exhausting just to see people you killed just roaming around. No decency in just staying dead. Also, we have a lot to deal with Ash, so we cannot still stay here and be forced into helping you and not so dead psycho Jacob over there." Zia wanted to leave the room, but Ashley stopped her. "You can't let Autumn die. If he dies, Jacob dies." Zia glanced back to Xavier, and Evan lowered her voice so that only Ashley could hear her. "Listen, hear Ashley. You did something that you were not supposed to do—linked a life to another. And also, worry about your brother once in a while as you got him into this shit because of your crazy boyfriend. I also won't let Autumn die because that's what friends do for each other, but once he's awake… I'm the first to tell him his flesh and blood linked his body to a psychotic, used to be nice guy maniac. Understood?" Ashley controlled her breathing and prevented breaking out an argument. "Good," Zia said and shouted at the boys that they were leaving. "Get him back to normal. Please." Ashley begged Xavier as he passes by. Xavier didn't answer her and moved along.

"We can't go anywhere with them. We are miles away from home. The cult is most probably still tracking us. So we back to the beginning, all over again." Zia said lightly, slapping Autumn to wake him. "They are hunting me, so I guess you still need to remove the curse Autumn put on me. He said you guys had a plan before I tried to kill Zia." Evan watched as Zia slap Autumn. "Well, that plan is not going to work if Autumn is living another reality. We need to find a way to wake them up; otherwise, they'll probably just be stuck there. Forever living another life." Xavier peaked outside of the window seeing only total darkness. Evan and Zia hovered over Walter and Autumn shouting out random ideas, but Xavier disagreed with all of them. They spend hours on hours trying to figure out what they need to do.

Ashley locked herself in the room with Jacob. She never came downstairs to see Autumn or ask them anything about him. "So is Autumn stuck in Walter's reality, or is Walter stuck in Autumn's, or are their reality are entwined?" Zia asked, laying on the couch. Evan and Xavier laid on the ground with their heads on Autumn and Walter. "I think it's the same reality, just different views of it. What I don't get is creating this reality or if it is a reality? What if they are living in the future that was supposed to happen? What if they do not know it's real?" Xavier sat up straight, knowing what has been done. "I guess you have a plan," Evan said as Xavier rushes over to Autumn. "If they can't wake up, we'll have to go in to get them." Xavier looks over to Zia, who was still lying on the couch. "I need you to find Autumn and get him back to our reality." Zia sighed and stood up. "I don't know who's going to wake diner boy because we all die in his reality, and Autumn killed us. So best of luck to whoever is crawling into that messed up head of his." Zia said and got down next to Autumn, holding his hand. "You know what to do, right?" Xavier asked. "Not my first mind fuck." Zia laughed and closed her eyes. She began chanting and fell into a deep sleep. Xavier glanced at Evan, meaning he has to save Walter. "I don't know if I can save him." Evan doubted. "You can try, at least," Xavier reassured him.

Zia woke up on a dirt ground, bricks surrounding her. "Geez, why the hell is this place so full of dirt." She brushed herself off and fixed her hair. There were single flaming lanterns stuck to the wall leading into a tunnel of darkness. Zia reached for her phone, seeing if she has any cell services. "Had to try." She said and placed it back in her back pocket. She followed the lanterns hoping nothing would go wrong. A distant sound went off as she stepped outside of the tunnel and in a hall of rooms. "And I had to save the most complicated guy." She whispered to herself. Zia went on and decided to open every door she came across. Every door she opened had the same furniture: a bed, light and a desk with a chair. "Come on Autumn, make this easy for me." She said and heard the same noise again, bricks falling apart. Zia ran down the hall following the sound of the falling bricks. She ran as fast as she could and finally found the room it was coming from. "Autumn," Zia said, relieved. She tried to open the door, but it would budge. "Autumn, open the damn door." She yelled, banging as loud as she could.

Autumn immediately pushed away the bed allowing Zia to enter. "You found me." He said, embracing her. Zia hugged Autumn for the first time since forever. It made her feel everything was okay again. "Wait, how did you find me?" Autumn asked confusingly. "Well, you see, I don't know how to explain this to you, but you are living a reality or a future as Xavier believes, which would have happened if you would have died in the car accident and claimed yourself," Zia explained confusing herself more. "So, none of this is real?" Autumn asked, looking out of the hole in his room. "Yes and kind of no," Zia answered. "But also, we need to find a way out so that you can wake up." Autumn walked over to the hole in his wall and stared out. "I would have woken up because I would have jumped seconds before you came in." Autumn stretched out his hand to Zia. "You want us to jump?" She sarcastically asked. "Just trust me," Autumn said. Zia hesitated at first then grabbed Autumn's hand.

"Hold your breath," Autumn said. "Wait. Why?" Autumn jerked Zia and jumped. "What the hell is happening?!" Zia screamed as they fell to the ocean above. "It's our way out," Autumn yelled. Autumn and Zia awoke as soon as they landed in the sea. "It's about time," Xavier said, coming from the kitchen with a glass of water. "Thank you." Autumn hugged Zia once more. "I always got your back." She smiled. Autumn stood up and saw Evan next to Walter. "He has been in there for hours now. I don't think he can get Walter back." Xavier stated, giving Autumn the glass of water. Autumn carefully examined Walter's face seeing the pain he's in. "I don't think I'm the one who created that reality. I would never trap myself. I'm not sure why Walter would go through such length to keep us from waking up. Why would he do that?" Autumn asked as they gathered around Evan and Walter. Waiting on either of them to awaken.

"Walter, listen to me." Evan circled Walter as he continues to ignore Evan. "This reality that you in is not real. None of this is real, Walter." Evan grabbed Walter by the hand, but he jerked it away. "You supposed to be dead. All of you are supposed to be dead. Autumn killed you, and he disappeared, leaving me behind. I didn't know what to do, so it just fucked me up over and over again. You supposed to be dead!" Walter yelled, rushing into his room. "Fuck." Evan whispered to himself and went after Walter, finding him crawled up in a corner. "You supposed to be dead." He repeatedly said. "Walter, listen to me. We are all alive. This is not real. You trapped inside your mind. You need to snap out of it." Evan couldn't get through to Walter, so he sat down next to him. "I know this is scary, and I've pulled you into a world that you were not ready for. I've lied to you, and I've used you so often, and I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Walter. Through everything that you've already been through, I packed my shit on top of yours. You a strong person Walter, you're an amazing guy, and you're a survivor. I need you to listen to me. None of this is real, so I need you to try as hard as you can to wake up."

Walter stared at Evan for a split second with sanity in his eyes. "Good," Evan said in relief. Walter belligerently stood up. "I told you. Get. The. Fuck. Out. Of. My. Head." He dragged Evan across the room, throwing him out of his room. "Walter, this isn't real!" Evan shouted as the door slams closed, breaking his connection to Walter. Evan laid on the ground, not moving. Everyone shouted questions at him. "I couldn't. I couldn't get him back." He answered, squeezing Walter's hand.
