Chapter 33

Ava

After we came from Dad's place. We made Shane go off to sleep. We

were sitting on the couch of the living room. I guess this is the right time to tell him."It's great actually that you decided to get married as early as possible." I say and David looks at me with a smile."I can't wait but tell me, Ava. What are you hiding anything? "

"How do you know?" I look at him amazed. How is it that he comes to know everything? Is it impossible to hide things from him? I guess I will never know.

"Your feet tap the ground uncontrollably when you want to say something. So Ava, Tell me what it is."

Am I that nervous to tell? No, I am not nervous. I know David will be more than happy. We were resting on the couch and David rests his head on my lap closing his eyes.

"Fine. It's great that we are getting married because I want to be able to fit in the wedding gown."

He opens his eyes as soon as he hears what he says. It didn't take him time to realize what I was meaning to say.

"Is this what I think it is?" He asks sitting back up. I nodded with a smile. I could see the huge smile on his face. He lifts me and twirls me around and then putting me down.  "The best news I got today. This time I will be there for you. I am so so happy."

I didn't realize but when David made me go round and round. I felt nauseous."I know you are but you twirling me around makes me nauseous."

He makes me sit down on the couch as he sits down beside me. He puts his hand on my stomach.

"I am going to be a Dad again. I want a girl."

"I have a strong feeling about it too. I already know a name. Taylor if it's a girl and Tyler if it's a boy." I had already searched for names on the Internet. I look at David and his eyes were sparkling with joy. The smile couldn't get off his face. He kisses me and I kiss him back.

We were going to get married and become parents again. I found my father and everything was falling back to place. What more can I ask for? He whispers between the kiss

"I love you, Ava."

"I love you, David." We pull back and David looks at me smiling when I saw Shane coming down the stairs. He was yawning and rubbing his eyes as he mumbles."Why are you yelling Dad? And who are Taylor and Tyler?"

I let out."You are going to have a sibling."

He gets on the couch and David nods at him smiling. He jumps up and down."Is that true? I am going to be a big brother." I chuckle when I saw him. What can be more perfect?

"He is so happy," David says and I nod at him."Yes, he is."

Next day

"I can't believe I agreed to the traditions. I mean I see you every day. What is this that the groom cannot see the bride in the wedding dress?" David rolls his eyes. We were out with Kathy for cake tasting and all the way David kept whining about the tradition where you can't see the bride in the wedding dress.

I warn him. I don't want to break any rule or tradition to bring bad luck. We will follow every one of them. "We will follow very tradition. That also means you don't get to see me the night before the wedding." He looks at me shocked and his mouth shaped the words 'You can't be serious' and I laugh. When I nod that I was indeed serious. He screams."What?"

"I love red velvet," Shane tells as he is enjoying his piece of cake. Kathy sighs."Thank God. Finally, we know now. Looking at David and Ava they would take days to select the cake."

"Well. I am with Shane." David says as he keeps his plate on the table. All of them were waiting for my answer. Red velvet had always been my favorite cake."I love red velvet too."

We all finish our cakes and we walk outside as Kathy talks with the baker about the details is when David starts bickering again."I still disagree about the second tradition. I can't get to see you before the wedding."

Kathy joins us rolling her eyes."There he goes again."

"It's just a day. You waited for six years. I am sure you will do fine."

I say to tease him. How hard can it be? And after the wedding, we will be together forever. He lets out a sigh agreeing to me. He can't say no to me."Fine, I think I can see a photo wearing a wedding dress."

The three of us yell at him"Nooooo." I glare at him as he looks at Shane probably surprised that he took our side."Hey, which side you are on, a young boy?"

"Haha."

After the wedding dress selection and cake tasting, we headed to the location on Thursday. I was mesmerized by the beautiful venue. We were supposed to marry indoors but I liked the outdoor surrounding so much that we decided to get married outdoors.

It's the best anyone could ask. The preparations had started. The lawn outside the palace. It had this white-colored open gazebo. The chairs were set up and there was water on either side of the aisle. Lotuses were floating on the water. It was beautiful. The venue was a plus point but for me, the only thing that mattered was getting married to David. We can get married in a church and I wouldn't complain.

On the day of the wedding

Finally, the day is here when I get married to David. It was hard to keep David in his room and when he tried to sneak out. Allan, Austin, and Shane caught hold of him. (

I laugh at the thought of it. Some doing my facial, some doing my hair. Why do girls have to go through all? All boys do is wear a suit and gelled their hair. I heard he is roaming around and I am going through this. I was never a fan of makeup.

I liked to keep it simple but I had no choice today. After hours of torture on my skin and hair when I put on my gown and the veil. As soon as I saw myself in the mirror. Everything was worth it. I never felt more beautiful. It felt real, putting on the dress all set made it all real. It's happening I was getting married to David.

Everyone go leaving me alone. Dad comes in and he looks at me with teary eyes."You look so beautiful, Ava. I wish Your mom could see you today"

"Me too Dad..." I nod at him.

"It's time. Are you ready?"

"As ready I shall ever be."

I took my bouquet. Dad kisses my forehead as he holds my hand. It didn't feel like it's been only four days since I met Dad. We bonded very quickly. It felt as if we knew each other for years. I am so happy I chose to forgive him and I love that he is here now with me.

It was time.

The moment we had been waiting for like forever. The place was so beautifully decorated since I saw it the last time. The chairs were all set. The entire place was decorated with lilies, my favorite flower. Kathy had done her job well. We wanted a private wedding. Only close friends and family.

It may be not the best decision to get married outdoors as the weather was getting chillier by every minute that passed and I was really cold. Well, what can you expect? It's December. The choir changed its tune to a soft melody and I saw David waiting there at the end of the aisle.

It was different than the other times, he looked so good-looking and charming in that white suit. I could see the tears in his eyes when he saw me.

We walked down the aisle and Dad gave my hand to him as he held my hand while whispering"Just when I thought you couldn't look more beautiful. You surprise me." And I blushed. My cheeks are probably pink due to blushing as I smiled.

"Shall we begin?" The priest said and I heard a gunshot.

*gunshot

"No this cannot happen."

David

On the day of the wedding

I can't wait anymore. I haven't seen her since yesterday. I failed when I tried to sneak to her room Austin, Allan and Shane caught me.

I can't believe after today I could finally get to call her my wife. I heard it from Shane that she started to get ready and knowing her she is cursing me that she had to go through all that and all I had to do was wear the suit...

When I wore my suit and stood in front of the mirror. My smile had no boundaries.

"Are you ready?" Allan comes into my room with Shane. "You look so great in that suit. Dad are you ready to get married to mom?"

"Yess I am."

It was time. With mom and Dad on either side, I walked through the aisle waiting for her, and I was dying to see her. I couldn't wait anymore. Just bring her here fast.

I was waiting for her to come and when she arrived. I couldn't take my eyes off her. It was worth the wait. I was overwhelmed and I couldn't stop my tears. I was getting married to the love of my life.

Of all the scenarios I had imagined it couldn't come close to this. I was awestruck. She was my everything. She gave me Shane and now we were going to be parents again soon. I couldn't stop smiling and William handed me her hand, I gently held it as I whispered and she blushed. I couldn't get enough of it. I smiled.

"Just when I thought you couldn't look more beautiful. You surprise me." She was the most beautiful girl I have ever met. She was beautiful inside out and I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

"Shall we begin?" I look ahead as the priest was about to begin and that's when I heard a gunshot.

*gunshot

"No this cannot happen."

(What's going to happen next? Will the wedding take place or someone will be hurt?)
