Not dying to a weird looking caterpillar. Let me do my quest!

"Welp, seems like I am going to have to take a long trip back. Maybe I'll find some aphids on the way back, so I can milk them. Hey, I might as well after all."

Gamo, after eating a fly, completing a quest, and leveling up, he started his walk to go back to the anthill. He chased a long way away from the anthill to catch that fly.

"Hm?"

However on his way back, he heard something moving through the grass and dirt to the left.

"Hmm... sounds about my size if it's making a little noise."

Gamo looked to his left and he saw a caterpillar, it's green but... it was glowing green? It looked about an inch long and it's a bit bigger than Gamo. It also had a weird looking jaw, like an ants but it didn't look like it's real jaw. It had barely noticeable eyes too?

"What the... I never heard of these caterpillars at all."

Then It started glowing blue.

"Oh yeah, for sure for sure I never heard of these caterpillars before."

And then it started glowing red, and it it stayed red for a few seconds

"Um yeah... this... does not seem like it's a good sign..."

It then started running towards Gamo, opening it's weird jaw opened, very small but sharp teeth being inside of it.

"W-What in-, nope I'm running."

Gamo started running, wondering what the hell is this caterpillar

"Hah, Hah"

"W-What type of freaking caterpillar is that?! Two random encounters in a row?!" He said while running.

Gamo kept on running but it wouldn't stop chasing after him.

"UGHHHH, STOP CHASING ME ALREADY!"

The caterpillar didn't shake off of him, staying on his tail.

"FINE! You know what, just come at me you stupid caterpillar."

The caterpillar came running at Gamo, about to devour him with it's sharp teeth

"COME RIGHT AT ME!!"

[Dash]

Chomp!

He dodged it's attack using the dash skill, a little close call. Gamo was breathing hard from running but still managed to dodge the attack.

The caterpillar was confused where Gamo went. So it then began to glow blue. However this was good for Gamo. He caught his breath and tried to stealthily attack it from behind, using his [Strong Bite].

Chomp!

Crack!

Gamo bit it's back, rear end, butt kinda, but it had an exoskeleton? the bluish glow was an exoskeleton?

"What?!" And it surprised Gamo, but Gamo surprised the bug and put the bug on alert. Then it quickly came turning around with it's flexible body.

"Just ignore it Gamo... you already broke through it." Gamo self encouraging himself...

Gamo went for another bite.

Chomp!

But Gamo was not done yet though, he kept pulling it's back, cracking through the exoskeleton and touching it's squishy body.

"I'm gonna rip your back apart from your body!"

Gamo kept pulling and pulling it's body from the caterpillar, but the caterpillar came closer and closer

"Hnnnggh!"

The body was ripped apart from the other part of the body and it was missing half of it's body, missing essential body parts now, what could it do? Gamo thought...

The caterpillar became faster since it lost it's other half, seems like it just ignored it's missing part of it's body. However, it was losing HP overtime.

"W-What, it's still coming at me?! What the hell?!"

The caterpillar came rushing at Gamo, opening it's weird ant like jaw and about to bite Gamo

"Dash!"

Luckily Gamo dodged it with his skill and safely got out of the way.

"What the hell... it's bleeding a lot and missing half of it's body and it's not dead yet or... not in shock or nothing yet?"

The caterpillar turned around and came running at Gamo once again.

"Oh no again?

But...

"Oh?"

Then the caterpillar started getting slower

"What's wrong now?"Gamo was still on guard but it got slower.

And slower.

Until it eventually couldn't move.

Then it flopped to the side.

It's bluish glow faded away.

And that was it for this mysterious caterpillar.

"Oh uh... kinda anticlimactic..."

Gamo was absolutely gleeful and excited about his level up. So excited he ignored the fact that it was a Mana Caterpillar, but things will be easier to deal with when it comes to his quest now.

"Hehehe... I'm so HAPPY!"

"Hehehehe... I wanna check my status now"

Gamo quickly came back to his senses shortly after and wondered about the caterpillar

"Wait other than that, didn't it say I killed a Mana Caterpillar? Maybe that's what explains the glow... but what do the colors mean?"

"Ah forget it. I'm going to stop focusing on that now and work on my other quest now."

Gamo stopped pondering on the caterpillar and worked on his other quest about the aphids. He had to take a longer walk because of the caterpillar however.

"Maybe I will get exp when I take it back, I already have to walk back longer... meh I'll just take it back. Atleast I got something out of it though."

Gamo started once again, walking back to the anthill, with the caterpillar.

"I came this way right?"

Making sure he was going the correct way first before walking anywhere else. He climbed one of the grass strand and looked for the big rock.

"Yep, I see the big rock, let's go now."

And Gamo kept walking and walking and walking to the anthill.

After about 10 minutes, he made it back.

"Oh, pretty nice. Makes me wonder how much the fly would have been worth... but whatever."

After bringing it back, the other ants smelled it and then ate and gave some to the larvae.

"Alrighty... time to get to work"

Gamo started exploring around the anthill for any aphids.

"Where are you guys... come out..."

Gamo spent 2 minutes searching and he found two on a grass strand not too far away from the anthill.

"Found ya! Alright so come down now... wait, I can just climb it."

Gamo climbed up and went up the grass strand and the two aphids saw him and came up to him.

"Come here and follow me so i can milk you... sounds weird... wait I don't need to move anywhere, what am I talking about?"

Gamo was ready on the grass strand, in the perfect spot to get their honeydew, but forgot how to milk them...

"This is the most weirdest thing I've done but I'd rather do it than become weak. Sooo... how do ants do this again?"

The aphids were studying him for a little bit, just looking at him rather. They then turned their backs to him and ignored him. Gamo shortly after that remembered how to milk them and get their honeydew.

"Oh I remember how to milk them now, they rub their backs and it comes out of... somewhere? I'll just test and see where it comes out of..."

So Gamo started rubbing their backs to see if honeydew would come out somewhere, the aphid didn't have no reaction or anything so it didn't do anything.

"Still nothing..."

Then honeydew comes out. It comes out of their back...

"EWWWW, ITS WHITE AND IT CAME OUT THEIR BACK."

"Ugh, I'm going to throw up."

"Heub... keep it in Gamo, keep it together."

Gamo was disgusted and in disbelief that THIS is what he had to bring back to the anthill and feed the larvae.

"Just endure it... endure it..."

Gamo tried his best to ignore the fact that it had these characteristics and mustered enough courage to eat it and store it for the larvae

"ENDURE IT, ENDURE IT GAMO!"

He was struggling to not barf it back out but eventually he got it and began to bring it back quickly by dashing because he was quickly losing his sanity because of it's looks and feels

"HNNNGGH!"

He got to the anthill after a little while and began to feed the larvae.

"JUST TAKE IT FROM ME PLEASE!"

He began barfing and barfing in 5 larvae and each of the larvae's mouth

Gamo regaining his mentality was just tired.

"Please, just shut up system."

Gamo was still regaining his mentality and had to rest inside the anthill for a bit more before he decided to do anything else.
