Singing Yesterday

The muffled tune with which your eyes glow

And the muted words your lips can't show

Now chanted by ravens in deafening glee

The ever dazed yesterday they sing for me

Painting the faded picture of your rosy cheeks

That dance only yesterday, where my eyes peek

In that withered garden that of you only reeks

As today mocks the yesterday, my tears now seek

So I dance alone amidst this broken spring

Where my leaking heart, yesterday, will sing

In ever reddened words and stained memory,

Within never ending dreams of endless plea,

And so I sing and sing, yet they only ever sting

The course, feeble words yesterday sings

Dancing along the petals, rotting in your stead,

Reminding me of the day you left
