Devil's Child

My world forever ablaze

Ever since your step in my days,

The devil who plays me like a fiddle

And I, the one following your riddle

As savage as a July summer breeze

Running throughout day and night

With innocent fright, brimming with spite,

Pulling my heart for thrilling rides

Fleeting years danced by us

For the blooming fiend; for my rotting soul.

And though I never deserved this devil spawn,

It never deserved such a monster

So now I cry for my feeble winter flower

Maker of my merriest, happiest hours

May you find more sweet than sour

My beloved child, my hellish company
