-Winter Queen-

"Miss me?"

"Miss you?" Queen Arpina scoffed "What are you doing here Eria?" Her tone growing harsh.

Ice began building up against the windows and the room grew colder as the newly arrived Queen stepped farther into the room.

"That's Queen Eria to you. And I do believe I was invited to this...Miserable gathering, I see you had enough respect to still put out my chair." She answered. A heartless smile creeping on her lips.

"As per the rules." Arpina forced out.

"Rules...Silly, you follow them now?"

"Eria-" Rhea started

"Rhea." Her attention snapping to the Autumn Queen. "You are in no position to talk"

Queen Arpina's hands began to form firey flakes before April placed her hand on hers. Arpina then relaxed. Queen Eria, seeming satisfied let out a sigh.

"How very rude of me. Forgive me, Rhea, I'm not in the best state of mind when sharing a room with...This fool." Eria let out, her icy blue eyes staring into Queen Arpina's golden ones. April then clearing her throat and rubbed her arms for warmth, earning the attention of the winter Queen.

"Ah...And you must be Princess Primrose. A pleasure to finally meet you."

April quickly getting up and curtsied. Shivering as she sat back down. Not sure of what to do.

"Princess Primrose, Are you cold?" Eria asked. Her full attention in April. The Princess hesitated before answering.

"U-uh...Just a bit, I'm sorry Queen Eria, I'm not very fond of the cold.." She replied, trying her best to speak clearly. Queen Eria's eyes relaxing a bit before sitting down as she said—

"That's quite alright, not many are comfortable in the cold, I apologize for being inconsiderate." The Queen flicked her wrist and the ice once covering the windows grew small until it was gone, the cold air turning warm.

"T-Thank you..." April muttered. Trying to avoid eye contact.

"Eria. Give me a good reason as to why I shouldn't throw you out of my castle or have you in chains." Queen Arpina said. Her voice pure venom.

"Ah well, Chains wouldn't do you any good. I could easily freeze them until they break, and if you were to throw me out I could have an Icicle to your heart, it's not the sword but it'll have to do."

Queen Rhea grabbing the handle of her sword.

"That won't be necessary Mari.," Arpina spoke softly. Rhea then letting go of the sword.

"But I've also come to finally put an end to this rivalry, first by attending this meeting, I think we've both become wiser in the past few hundred years, wouldn't you agree?"

"I suppose...Very well then. But you remember your place Eria. You're in my kingdom."

"Of course Arpina, Carry on to what you and the others were talking about before I came" Eria gestured to the table full of plans, strategies, and such.

————————————————————————

"Kyra it was so scary! But also amazing! It was kinda boring before Queen Eria showed up!" April practically yelling as she twirled around her room.

"Okayyyy...Uhm..Let me get this straight, The Queen of winter came to the meeting?! Did you threaten you? Hurt you even?!-"

"No! She didn't, She was actually...Kinda nice?" April let out, her answer more of a question.

"Nice? We're talk about the same Queen right?"

"...I would believe so"

Kyra sat up from the soft bed and started at April twirling her finger around a strand of hair while she bit her lip, pacing back and forth.

"Helen almost used her gift.," April whispered.

"Summer's fire?" Kyra asked. Now abounding the bed and walking over to April.

"She hasn't used it in a long time...At-At least I don't think...Not since she accidentally burned me." April mumbled the last bit, tracing her fingers around the scar that took shape of a hand on her wrist.

"I-I got scared. I jumped at the sight of the golden flakes forming...Am I just weak?"

"No, April. You're traumatized. There's a difference. Why would you even think that.."

April shot her a look but knew she was right. Before she could answer the door swung open.

"Oh dear-" Said the tall figure. Struggling to enter the room.

"April, tell me again why I let you make your door so small?"

"Because I can't turn into a 75ft giant...Yet.. So there was no point in making the door big, Your words. Not mine." April smiled.

"Right..." Let out the person before a glowing light blinded both Kyra and April. The light reveling a smaller Queen Arpina.

"Kyra?"

"You're majesty! Great to see you again!" Kyra practically yelled as she bowed. April smacking her head before running it down to her chin. 'Idiot' She thought. Queen Arpina, Unamused turned her attention back to April.

"April I'm sorry you had to go through that. And on your first meeting...Oh, how could I have let this happen?" The Summer Queen mumbled as she rubbed her temple.

"It's alright Helen. It was a pleasant surprise! I saw the winter Queen on my first meeting! This has to be a good sign!" April giggled. Causing Kyra to scrunch up her face.

"Uhm- well I suppose. But April, That could have been very dangerous."

"I knowwwww. But it wasn't! I call this a good win for-"

"April."

"Sorry..."

The Queen sighed before walking over and placed a hand on April's shoulder.

"The reason I tell you this is because I feel as if Queen Eria is up to something"

Both girls perking up to see what else the Queen was to say.

"So, As a test run for being the future ruler of Spring, I want you to find what Queen Eria is up to. I know her methods. She doesn't just do whatever unless she wants something. I would send someone else but-"

"She'd probably kill them" April interrupted. Arpina smiled.

"Yes. Exactly. But you, my dear. She can't kill you."

"Perks of being a goddess" April chimed. Kyra flashing her a smile.

"I'll do it, Helen! Oh, this is gonna be incredible- Wait how am I gonna find out?"

"You can threaten it out of her though you can't threaten people even if your life depended on it so your best bet is to get real close to her, then her eventually telling you her plans" Kyra sighed, Leaning on the vanity.

"That's- Not a bad plan." Queen Arpina let out.

"Oh, thanks Queen A. I'm just smart like that" Kyra smirked. Arpina narrowing her eyes, Kyra's face instantly falling. "Sorry.." She mumbled, avoiding eye contact with the Queen's Firey glare.

"Okay but what if she holds me hostage or something?" April asked.

"You'll take Someone with you. Someone skilled enough to get away or to buy you type to escape." Queen Arpina said as she started thinking of who could go.

"Kyra can! She's very talented! Right Kyra? She dueled her brother! A SUN KNIGHT! AND WON!! She's good for the job, huh?" April said, nudging Kyra. The Elves Face turning a light red.

"Well, As long as she protects you or dies trying I'll be fine with it"

Kyra gulped.

"Uhh...Yeah, I'll go.. I'll try not to die though, sorry..."

April rolled her eyes as she smiled.

"I wouldn't trust anyone else with April. So yeah, I'll do it." Kyra finished.

"Very well" Queen Arpina sighed.

"Yay! This gonna be so much fun! We'll probably almost die but that's okay! We'll do it together! TOGETHERNESS!" April laughed as she held Kyra in a bone-crushing hug.

"Yay..." Kyra croaked.
