04. Macardigan ❤️

I drow the vehicle to the main road from where we live. we live in the woods, which is a bit far away from the main road yet it is not difficult to reach.

"Strom might appear soon. let's hope not to get it in the middle of the ride though"

Rudy was putting her hand outside of her side's mirror while as I noticed inhaling the freshest air the same as I did. The sky was gloomy. this is not how we see the sky every day here in Macardigan. because they always do magic tricks. it appears as it is going to be sunny all day and in the next moment, it is starting to pour up rain over us.

but when it is in the mood of gloomy, the one who sees it should get the idea that rain is on its way to Macardigan.

"When are you gonna come back."

I probably might have sounded anxious because rudy looked at me as soon as I asked that question from her smiling at me while caressing my hand on the steering wheel.

"oh come on it will take a week Jen. it will go so fast. you won't even notice it. even I wish I could stay with you and spend some more time together. but gotta save ma job you know that right."

shit, I realized I shouldn't have asked it. the chance of staying back home just raised to 75% as she does not like to leave me alone with an upset mind.

"Yeah yeah I know. I just wanted to plan out the week. so now, no reservations for you okay ?"

oh gosh! why am I like this?. I was at the relief of seeing the small town ahead of us filled with people everywhere.

"Here we come Macardigan !"

I screamed as I saw the colorful flags hanging all over the place. This fair is something I always love to be at. though I am not much of a fan of loud music and crowded places. I find this place attractive. maybe that is because of how simple these people are. Rudy once said that what she likes here in Macardigan is the weather an the friendly simple people.

yeah, people who are living here really easy to deal with. they greet every person they meet. it's like they all know about others while it is not. these people smile a lot which I do a lot. I can smile at any person! isn't that something different from all that we have?

" Are you coming with me to go around? or um.. going by yourself would be fun maybe."

Rudy got down from the car with that fancy bag which made me laugh.

"uhh... I will walk around and call you when I m done. let me know if you need me."

I wanted to buy some gifts for Christmas. so I choose to walk along a bit. I knew that it was going to be fun.

"Take the jacket with you and the phone too. I'll see you around. here's some cash for you.if you like to buy anything to eat buy few extra amounts for you to eat at home."

she is the coolest person someone could ever have as an adult. she walked into the crowd.

I managed to park the car near the fair. there were not many vehicles around but I spotted a shiny blue car which was old patterned parked next to where I parked our car.

"ugh nice color"

I entered to the fair from the decorated arch. stalls were all over the place. the place where the fair is happening every year is an open area surrounded by a few larger shops in the town. that is what we call as the town of Macardigan.

"Hey, beautiful welcome home. you have grown so fast !" it was Mrs.Blue's husband offering a hug, who was at a stall filled with homemade cookies tins.

"Hello, Mr.Blue. how are you? glad to see you after a so long time."

I hugged him back. I liked this human since the day I met him. he has a white-haired beard all over his face which reminds me of Santa all the time. his personality is always a heartwarming and welcoming.

"I'm doing well. thank you, my lady. I got to know you came anyway. Now enjoy the fair. Merry Christmas "

he winked at me as he released me from his arms and nodes with a smile.

I know a few families in this town except for the blue family. one is the postman's family and the other is Uncle Benedict(as I call)who is the Doc.

but I remember the butcher, the little diner's owner, and the police officer appointed here too..

"Hi !"

a strong, deep voice popped behind me and I quickly turned to see who that was. I bumped into a hard body as soon as I turned. it was obvious that whoever the person who called me, was coming to me, not expecting that I would turn around. huh, that sounds weird I know. however, the strong head could not pull the break as I turned on the spot.

"ugh shit. I'm sorry. I didn't see you coming. Haah... Hi,"

I kinda panicked seeing the on who was standing in front of me. he was taller. I am a girl with a 5'7 height. so there I met a GUY. who is taller than me and strong! whoops.

"no. I'm sorry. I made a mistake. by the way, I think you've dropped this." he showed me the car keys which were in my hand a while ago. I rushed and checked my jean's pockets.

"oh yeah, that's mine. thanks. I think it just dropped from my pockets."

he had a bright smile. His eyes were dark. I could not guess what color were those. because he was wearing a spectacle.his hair was dark too. he got an attractive smile I should say. and an extra attractive personality with all these things I noticed.

and.... yes, I THINK I have not noticed him when I came here before.

"no problem. I just saw it falling while I was just behind you. seems like you know people here."

oh hoh.. he seemed to be talkative!

"ah yeah, a very few though. anyway, I'm Jennifer MacBirth. Pleasure to meet you... "

Rudy thought me to be polite so I guess teachings helped me as always they did. on that day too.g
