Second Letter

After calming her down, I bent down and started stuffing all the letters which were on the ground into the trashbin and soon Rena also joined to help me

After stuffing half of them in Rena said "Are sure all of these letters just for you?" While observing each letter she picked up

"What, are you jealous I got more letters then you?" I said while grinning

"As if!" She exclaimed in a revolting manner. "I'd rather get nothing at all for my whole life then get these creepy letters"

"But it also means I'm quite popular right?"

"No…I don't think this is the type of popularity anyone would want" She said narrowing her eyes. She then picked up a white letter with some red stains on it and looked at it closely and said "But are they all really hate letters?"

"Most probably. I don't know why else anyone would send these"

"Hmm…" Said Rena as she stared at the letter she was holding with curiosity and continued to say "Maybe not all of them are hate letters and just plain empty papers. We could've mistaken the whole situation from the beginning. I'll open another one to find out"

"No, wait don't open it!" I exclaimed to stop her but she ignored what I said and quickly opened the letter in her hand and saw it's contents and just like I had predicted, she was showing the same shocked expression she showed when she opened the first one

I knew that she wouldn't be able to handle stuff like this judging from how she reacted for the first letter and wanted to stop her from going through that again but I failed

She stared at the letter with her eyes wide open and a look of disbelief and distress on her face, even more so then how she reacted to the first one

"Hey Rena stop looking at it!" I said as I pulled the letter from her hands and looked at it to see what she was so shocked about now

What I saw was an image more creepier and chilling then the first one. On it was written

This time I was actually surprised with what I saw. I thought that just one letter would have a lot of effort put in it to scare me and the rest of them would be pretty simple and basic but now that I see that the second letter Rena randomly opened also had a lot of effort put in into, I can conclude that the rest of them are also like them and whoever made it are genuinely trying to scare me

I thought it was a simple prank or joke at first, but now it seems like someone or a group of people are really out for me. Just who and why?

Well I'm not going to get any answers thinking about and I should first tend to Rena who looks really distraught with what she saw

"Now this is why I told you not to pick up another letter. I guessed that something like this was going to happen and sure enough it did. You should've just listened me" I said as I crushed the paper and threw it in the dustbin

"I know you said that but this letter…" She said with a anxious look and continued to say in nervous manner "It's written in red….I-It's not blood is it?"

"Of course it's not!" I immediately replied. "I think you watched to many movies to come to that unreal conclusion. Do you really think that the people who wrote this would spare their own blood for the guy they hate. What are they, some kind of cult? And if it was actually written in blood, than the words would've been flaky and powdery. Not as smooth as this"

"Flaky? Powdery? How do you know that?"

Shit! I can't say that I learned that while washing the blood off my clothes after jobs

"Oh that…Umm…Oh yeah! I learnt that in some medical documentary I watched"

Although I assured her it wasn't blood and just some ink, Rena still look startled and frightened. Even though she was a strong girl who wasn't afraid to fight and was even ready to kill a molester who attacked her, right now she had the same worried look when I threw myself into the path of the truck to save her. With that same expression she then said

"Yuuto, I know you told me that it was just a joke and it was nothing serious before but now that I think about it looks like a really serious matter. I mean these people are actually threatening to harm you. Shouldn't you atleast be a little wary when something like this happens? And what if something actually happens to you?!"

"Okay, let me stop you right there" I interrupted, seeing how panicked she was getting over this. "You're over thinking this way too much. There's no way something like that will happen-"

"But what if it does!? What if something actually happens to you?! Then what will I do?! I mean-….I can't-…"

She became so anxious and nervous that she was staring to stutter and her eyes wandered here and there in panic. It was the first time I was seeing her in such a state
