Chapter 7: First Day of School

Erica entered her classroom and saw her friends. They haven't seen each other during summer vacation because all of them wanted to spend summer differently.

"Oh my god! Erica! I haven't seen you in like forever!" Rachelle grinned.

"Hey girl!" Tiffany shouted from across the room.

"Hey Er!" Jessica said.

"Hey girls!" Erica said as she skipped to them.

After awhile, the teacher entered the classroom. She had curly brown hair that falls until her shoulders, and had brown eyes. She seemed nice and she was literally just hired the day before.

"Hello class! My name is Anne Schmidt. Call me Ms. Schmidt. I'll be your homeroom and math teacher! This is exciting!" Ms. Schmidt clapped in excitement.

The class rolled their eyes.

"Okay. Why don't you all introduce yourselves? State your name and age and some facts about you." Ms. Schmidt suggested. She walked to the back of the classroom and said, "Let's start in front. Right to left. Just stand up and stay on your spot. You don't have to go in front."

And so it began. The one that every student dreaded on the first day of school.

It went like this..

"Hi my name is Tisha Spencer and I'm 18 years old. I collect phone cases."

"Yo! My name is Mattheus Vanderguild. I'm turning 18 next week, and y'all are invited!" Mattheus smirked.

Ms. Schmidt chuckled, "That's very kind of you. Let's continue." She nodded at a girl with tan skin who was sitting next to Mattheus.

"Hello. My name is Tiara Lancelot. I'm a 17 year old exchange student from London."

"Sup! My name's Callum Edward Lewis. You can call me Cal or Lewis. I'm 18 years old. And I'm in love with Tiffany." Callum winked at Tiffany.

"That's cute, but we didn't need to hear that. Next." Ms. Schmidt shook her head.

"Yo. The name's Devon James Simpson. Call me Dev. I'm 18 and I'm Rachelle's boyfriend."

"We didn't need to hear that."

"My name's Jack Peter Neilson. I'm 18 years old, and my girlfriend is Jessica."

"We literally didn't need to know that."

"I'm John Marius Hilton. Call me Marius. I'm also 18 years old and Erica's my girlfriend."

"We really don't care about who you're dating, guys." Tisha rolled her eyes as she shared a look with Ms. Schmidt.

It went on and on until it was Tiffany's turn. She stood up and went in front.

"Hey! My name is Tiffany Margaux Jones. I'm 18 years old." Tiffany smiled and walked back to her seat.

"Hey everybody! My name's Jessica Louise Pennington. I'm 18 years old and I have a massive shoe collection." Jessica did the same.

"Hello! I'm Rachelle Vahn Go. I'm 18 years old."

"Hey! My name's Erica Megan Sanchez. I'm 18 years old."

"H-Hi! My name's Jeremy Xanders. I'm 18 years old."

Eventually everyone finished and Ms. Schmidt lets out a sigh of relief. She started talking about random stuff that left some students bored. Others debated with her, though. After an hour of rambling, the bell rang and all the students left.

It was now lunch time and everyone was in the cafeteria to get some non-delicious food to get into their system in order to get through the rest of the school hours.

"Ugh. I'm starving." Tiffany groaned.

"Bitch, you're always hungry." Rachelle laughed.

"Are you sure you're not pregnant?" Erica asked.

"What the actual fuck, Erica. Of course not! I haven't had a boyfriend since we were like 12." Tiffany defended.

"Oh yeah. That Jonathan guy." Jessica trailed off.

"Yeah... to be fair he was an asshole." Rachelle pointed out.

"Oh my god. Stop bringing up my ex." Tiffany exclaimed extremely annoyed.

"Oh yeah. Maybe she's got the hots for Callum, eh?" Jeremy smirked.

"Oh my god yaaaaassss!" The rest of the girls said.

"Girls...and Jeremy. Oh please. I don't like him. And how did we end up talking about this? Like seriously, I was saying that I was hungry!" Tiffany crossed her arms.

"Pfft. Yeah, right. You 'don't like him' but you agreed to go on a date with him" Jeremy scoffed. Tiffany's cheeks turned a deep shade of red.

Just as this happened, Callum walked by, "Oh. Hey guys!" Callum greeted with a smile on his face.

"Hey Cal!" Everyone except for Tiffany greeted back.

"Hi Tiffany. I got you some food... in case you were hungry." Callum said softly. He put the food on the table in front of her and smiled.

"Gee, thanks. But I'm not hungry." Tiffany turned to look at him.

"Oh my god. You're such a liar!" Jessica exclaimed and crossed her arms.

"Yeah. Don't believe her, Cal. She literally just said like a few seconds ago that she was starving." Rachelle shrugged.

"Mhm." Jeremy confirmed.

Tiffany sighed and looked away from Callum and whispered, "Okay fine. So maybe I am a little hungry..."

"I KNEW IT!" Callum shouted.

"Shut up, you scumbag!" Tiffany shouted back.

"Just eat the damn food then." Callum said.

"No!" Tiffany argued.

"Stop being stubborn and eat it." Callum replied.

"No!" Tiffany said stubbornly.

"Why?" Callum asked because she was being impossible.

"I don't want to be overweight and I hate cafeteria food." Tiffany admitted.

At that exact moment, everyone looked at Tiffany like how anime characters look at their stupid friend. "What? I mean, after all I have to be fit anyway. We're trying out to be cheerleaders, right?" Tiffany pointed out.

"You can still get in anyway." Jessica said.

"Yeah. Jessica's the head cheerleader. So, she HAS to include you." Erica said.

"Yeah and if you do gain weight, you still have a shot of becoming a cheerleader. Look at that girl from High School Musical. She's kind of overweight, but she's a cheerleader. Make her an inspiration." Rachelle said bluntly.

"Yeah. What they said." Jeremy said, not knowing what to even say. He wasn't that conscious of his looks. He doesn't really care and that's what makes him likable.

"Look at me," Callum said as he cupped Tiffany's cheeks to make her look at him. "No matter what happens, I'll still love you." Callum said.

"Whoa. Cheesy shit there, bro!" Devon hollered and smirked. He had never seen his friend like that before.

Jack and Marius gave each other a high five.

"Oh...my...god. That's the sweetest thing ever!" Erica squealed like on of those anime characters while the others just nodded in agreement. As they were looking like a literal heart eye emoji, Tiffany's cheeks flushed in a deep red color. Callum chuckled and said,"Just eat your food. I'll see you around."

"Omg. You guys are so cute together!" Erica said. She thought they were together. Everyone else did.

"We're not even together." Tiffany said as she ate the food Callum gave her.

"You're not?!" Erica shouted.

"Yeah. Isn't it obvious?" Rachelle asked.

"No." Erica said sadly. Everyone sighed.

After 9 hours in school, it was finally dismissal time. The 9 of them went on their separate ways. Of course Rach, Erica, and Jessica were with their boyfriends. Jeremy and Tiffany stayed behind. After 5 minutes, Tiffany's ride arrived.

"Jer! Want a ride home? It's getting late." Tiffany offered as she opened the car door of the passenger seat.

"Uhh..." Was all Jeremy could say.

With the door still open, and Tiffany wasn't in the car yet, Tyler looked out and saw Jeremy.

"Hey Jeremy! Tiff's right. Why don't you ride with us? I don't mind." Tyler shrugged.

"Are you sure?" Jeremy asked.

"Positive." Tyler replied.

"Okay." Jeremy said as he opened the door to the back seat. Tiffany got inside the car and they brought Jeremy home. After dropping Jeremy home, Tiffany asked Tyler, "This morning you said that I should go home early. Mind if I ask why?"

"I told you. Dad's coming home, and we're having dinner at this fancy schmancy restaurant. Dad rented the whole restaurant for tonight. He invited your friends' parents too. So that means you, Erica, Jessica, Rach, and Jeremy are gonna get bored. Because y'know, adult shit is happening." Tyler said as he pulled up in their garage.

"But you'll be bored too, because I'm not with you." Tiffany frowned at the thought of her brother dying of boredom.

"Who said that I'll be bored? And who said that you'll be leaving me alone?" Tyler asked.

"Well, to be honest. You don't have friends, Ty." Tiffany pointed out.

"Your friends are my friends too, you know. I'm just a year older than you guys. Plus, everyone's siblings are going to be there. In fact, Jeremy's mom, Kate, is the chef for tonight." Tyler said.

"Okay fine." Tiffany rolled her eyes.

The Jones family arrived at the restaurant and waited for everyone. Soon enough, the place was completely packed and they started serving food. Before all of them started eating, Mr. Angelo Jones, Tiffany's dad, said some things.

"I would just like to say a few words. Now, I just got back from France and I have some good news! As you all know, I own a shopping center; having only a branch at New York and London. But now, say hello to our new branch at Paris!" Mr. Jones grinned a million dollar smile. Everyone clapped the living daylights out of them.

"That's all. You are all invited to its grand opening on December." Mr. Jones said.

Tiffany turned to Tyler and whispered, "Remind me to go shopping there with you."

"Noted." Tyler replied.

"Let's eat!" Mr. Jones said with a huge grin and just like that, the celebration began.
