"When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, no one can ever tear them apart"
Quote-
"She doesnt know me" I said while grabbing a can of beer from the refrigerator.
"What?" Jimin questioned surprisingly while freezing for a moment and staring at me with an odd expression.
He sat down on the couch with me and asked"You mean she doesnt remember you at all?"
"Yeah, I was in the parking lot and she called me, but after that she said she thought i was someone else and left".
"Are you sure it was her and not somebody else?"
"Of course! How can I not know her?"
It was late at night and we came back from the party a little before 12, we were about to go to bed when we heard screams from the next door. Though there was enough space between the two homes yet the screams were loud and petrifying. We didnt even know who lived there, but it seemed as someone was a victim of domestic violence.
"What's happening" I paused to listen to the screams.
"We should go and help" I said picking up my coat from the sofa, Jimin held my hand.
"You shouldnt its your company's shareholder's house".
"What? You mean her husband?"
"I didnt wanted to tell you this but I myself have learned about it in the party".
"What if something is wrong with her?"
"Sorry to break this to you but she doesnt have anything to do with you. Remember, what happened 2 years ago?".
"I dont care" I shouted and stormed out of the house.
I got in front of her house, I stood there like a statue not knowing what to do, should I go back or not.
Just when I decided to go back I heard someone shouting at the top of there lungs as if a cry for mercy "I swear I didn't do anything".
I went to the door step and ringed the bell. My feet shaking as to what I was supposed to say or what I was about to do?
The door opened up after a few minutes and an Ahjumma showed up at the entrance. A women in her late 60s, petrified as if she had seen something deadly.
"How may I help you?" She said plainly as if wanting to close the door as soon as possible.
"Umm is there Mr. Choi Joon Woo inside?" I asked, immediately coming up with an excuse to meet him.
"Yes. May I know the reason why?" She questioned.
"He is my company's main shareholder I was supposed to have a word or two with him at the party but unfortunately I didnt have the chance to do so. So...can I?".
"At this hour of the night?".
"I thought it is a great opportunity to interact with him while having a glass of wine. I came a long way to just see him about 2 hours or so".
"Okay. Please wait".
She left and closed the door behind. Well, I couldn't think of anything at this point and in such a haste I just said what came in my mind and literally I felt as if I could've have come up with something better.
Jae Hwa's POV:
"You know Ahjumma, today I saw this person who looked so familiar but I couldnt remember anything. Even after I tried hard I wasnt able to think of who he was" I said while I grabbed a glass of water as I was really thirsty.
"You did lose alot of your memories, it's better to not try to remember them as you know doctor told you to not stress yourself too much" she answered with a beautiful smile.
She then helped me put band aid around my ankles as they were bleeding because of wearing heels.
I was still thinking of him, something about him felt home, as if I had once known this person very well. The shock he had on his face after I called him clearly said that he knew me too.
"Ahjumma I think he knows me".
"Who?" A loud angry cry came from the corner of the living room.
We both stood up in fright. He came up to me and slapped me hard.
The slap was so hard that the corner of my lip started to bleed. I looked up at him he was furious and his face was red with anger. He was about to hit me again when Ahjumma held his hand.
"Sir, please dont do it" she pleaded, I could see her shaking more than me.
