Nightclub II

Yuliang wished to abstain from drinking with how on edge he was feeling, but the moment he started protesting, Eric put his foot down and shoved a mysterious blue drink into his hands.

"We are at a club, Yuliang! No one chooses to stay sober at a club! I don't make the rules and you're the one that told me to show you the ropes," Eric said, with a slight indignant edge to his tone as he stared him down with his hands on his hips.

Yuliang looked up at the omega helplessly from where he was seated at the bar's VIP booth on the second-floor balcony, facing away from the vibrant activity taking place around and below them as much as possible.

He was pretty sure that he hadn't actually said that, but he supposed it was implied when he had told Eric this was his first time going to a club.

Not wanting to upset his packmate, Yuliang took a sip of the drink with a sigh of resignation.

"Good," Eric said relaxing with a smile and taking the seat beside him once more. He reached out to grasp Yuliang's fidgeting hand gave it a comforting squeeze. "It's the end of your internship, Yuliang. I just want you to relax and enjoy yourself a bit, honey. You deserve it after all your hard work," the omega stated, earnestly.

Yuliang took a larger gulp of his drink and squeezed back.

The drink was pretty good. Not as good as Amber Delight from Jeremy's bar, but good enough that he wouldn't mind another glass of it after he polishes this one-off.

In all the time he had been covertly studying his surroundings, he hadn't found anything or anyone to be out of place, so maybe it truly was the crowd that's been setting him off the entire evening.

It wouldn't hurt to relax just a bit, would it?

For Eric's sake, at least.
