CHAPTER 8

Alisha's POV

I was standing in the balcony and admiring the beautiful view when I felt Armaan behind me. He snaked his arms around my waist and rested his chin on my right shoulder.

"Alisha, I want to tell you something." He said.

"Tell." I eyed indicating him to continue.

"Hmm...I"He was telling it when someone cut him off.

"Alisha wake up."

"What!!!"

SPLASH!!!

"What the hell bhai!!! You spoilt my dream. He was about to..." I realised what I was going to tell bhai.

"Who was about to do what?" He asked and I blushed thinking about the dream.

"Oh I'm so sorry. I forgot that my baby little sister is engaged now. So maybe she was dreaming about her fiancé." He teased and I'm a hundred percent sure that my cheeks were red by now.

"Aww...look at you. All blushing." He said pulling my cheeks.

"Bhai!!!" I faked anger and went to the bathroom to do my morning routine and also to escape from him.

I came and saw that bhai had left my room so I went to my walk-in closet and wore some formal clothes and went down.

"How come Alisha woke up so late today?" Maa asked. It was almost 11:30 now usually I wake up at 9:00 and I have my breakfast at 10:00.

"Mom, she was dreaming about someone doing something beautiful to her." Bhai teased.

"Maa. He keeps pulling my leg." I complained to maa and she glared at bhai.

"Mom, I guess we should get Alisha and Armaan married soon. After all my baby little sister misses him so much." Bhai suggested pulling my cheeks.

Bhai is right. I miss him like lovesick puppy. It's been 3 months for the engagement and we haven't met since he had to go to Paris the next day itself because of some issues in the company.

His cheesy texts make me miss him even more.

"Haan. I know. I talked to saisha about it yesterday. She told that Armaan will be back next week and then we can decide the wedding dates." Maa replied. After I had my breakfast me and bhai left for office and rest of the day was spent in completing some work and handling a few meetings.

Writer's POV

Days passed by and finally Armaan was coming back. Kapoor's and Malhotra's decided to have a lunch together and not extend their wedding anymore. So after the lunch Panditji was called and their kundlis were given. Both Alisha and Armaan were excited for the wedding but for different reasons. Armaan was excited because he knew that soon he would be able to break Alisha's heart and destroy her for taking the love of his life away from him and wouldn't have to fake his emotions about being lovable  and caring towards Alisha. He was tired of sending her cliché texts and also being sweet towards her even though he had no feelings for her. Though somewhere his heart knew that he had fallen head over heels for Alisha , Armaan never wanted to accept it and kept convincing himself to destroy Alisha once they get married.

Alisha was excited because she had  recently realised her feelings for Armaan and also thought that Armaan was a good person. All of Armaan's texts and calls convinced her that Armaan also loves her but doesn't want to confess it. Only if she knew that it was all fake. His love, his care, his good nature would all turn opposite once they get married.

Armaan's POV

"Next month is the best for them to get married. If they don't get married next month then they can't get married for next one year." Panditji told.

"Okay Panditji." Dad told and then Panditji left.

"Uncle, I guess we should get them married next month itself. Or else I'm afraid that my sister would go crazy missing Armaan." Karan commented and Alisha blushed.

"Even I will go crazy if I don't marry her soon." I complained to which Alisha blushed even more if that could be possible.

"Oh really?" Karan asked.

"Of course." I replied.

'Of course. If I don't get justice for my Neha then her soul won't rest in peace and if her soul doesn't rest in peace I'll surely go mad.' I thought.

"Okay. Fine. Since you both are so eager to get married why don't we get them married next month itself?" Vicky uncle asked.

"But Vicky what about the arrangements?" Mom asked.

"It won't be a burden if we divide them among ourselves." Vicky uncle told.

"Okay. So, Mom and Saisha aunty will handle the guest list and wedding outfits. me, Dad and Sam uncle will handle invitations, food and venue." Karan told.

"Agreed!!!" Everyone told together.

"Oh wait. What agreed? What about us? We are getting married and we aren't doing anything." I complained.

"You both will decide the theme and be wherever you are needed." Karan ordered.

"Oh acha." I exclaimed.

"What acha? I'm the groom's best friend and you people planned everything without me." A voice came from behind and all of us turned to see the one and only Shanaya Kapoor back.

"So mean ya Karan. You planned ever without me." Shanaya complained to Karan.

"Don't worry you can join Saisha aunty and mom." Karan suggested.

"Cool!!!" She exclaimed excitedly. She is such a good person. She has always been there for me. I'm sure if I wouldn't have fallen for Neha then I'd have accepted her proposal and by now we'd be head over heels in love with each other. Yes, she had proposed me while I was dating Neha. Since Neha wanted our relationship to be a secret I never revealed it to anyone and when Shanaya proposed me I had to reveal it to her because I didn't want her to think that she isn't good enough for me. She was pretty understanding that time and even after Neha died she was always there by my side.

"Let's have lunch. I'm damn hungry. Later on we can continue with the wedding discussion." Karan almost shouted which brought me out of my dream world.

"Man you look so cute." I said pulling his cheeks.

"Haan, I'll serve the food." Mom said and left.

"You guys continue. I'll help Saisha." Soniya aunty said leaving to the kitchen.

Lunch was fun and the rest of the day was spent in deciding the themes for particular days. The wedding would take place in the last week of next month. We also decided that we would have pre-wedding photo shoot. It would be done a week before wedding rituals would start. Soon the day came to an end and we all had are dinner and everyone decided to leave.

Alisha's POV

Finally, we're back home. Huh... such a tiring day it was. I was standing in my balcony and thinking about the day when bhai entered.

"Hmm...what is my baby sister thinking about?" He asked standing next to me but looking at the sky.

"Nothing. Just thinking about the day." I told.

"Looks like someone's jealous." He commented out of nowhere.

"Jealous?" I asked confused.

"Haan. Jealous of Shanaya." He clarified.

"Me. Jealous. Of. Her." I started laughing.

"Oh come on. If that's not the reason then why didn't you bond with her. Like you know. You're someone who bonds with people easily. So I thought..." he said shrugging off the last part.

"Uh that. I don't know why but I didn't like the way she looks at me. You know she throws daggers at me as if she'll eat me any moment." I said what I actually felt.

"There's nothing like that. She's a sweet girl." He said making me understand.

"Bhai, I know who looks at me in what way. Do one thing next time when we meet you notice her." I cleared.

"Well, not a bad idea. I'll see when we meet next time." He told and then we were silent for a while.

"By the way, Saisha aunty and mom have decided that you would go shopping with them tomorrow. So be ready by 1." He told while leaving. Hmm... let's go and sleep. I thought and went to bed.
