Author's POV
'Maybe he loves that girl. I so wish I shouldn't have drunk that night. Then these two would be happily married and there would be no revenge.'
'Hmm...that hurts man.'
'Why not? Why won't it hurt? First he made me fall for him and then when I started feeling for him, that idiot cheated on me.'
'Oh god! why am I thinking so much? He must be here anytime. So I'll ask him directly instead of torturing myself so much.
Alisha thought while walking to and fro in the living room while waiting for her not-so-dearest husband.
In the mean while, Armaan opens the main door only to find Alisha sitting on the couch lost in her thoughts.
"Hey, I'm back home." He greeted.
"How do you know that girl?" She asked.
"Which girl?"
"You know, that one who's picture is your laptop's wallpaper." She tauntingly replied.
Oh damn!!! I didn't think about it at all. What will I tell her now? Should I reveal it to her? Nah nah it's a bad idea. He thought
"Just a friend of mine." He lied seeing her angry mood.
"Oh...okay. See if f you don't want to tell then don't lie about it. No one keeps a "just friends" picture as their wallpaper." She curtly replied.
"Wait a minute, someone's jealous huh." He tried changing the topic.
"What! Me and jealous. Nope, I'm not." She replied.
"Oh, then why was someone so curious?" He asked. He somewhat felt happy that she was jealous for him.
"Oh, I was just curious on knowing how that sweet, cute and innocent girl could handle a monster like you."
"Aye, there's a mistake. It's not a monster. It's a handsome monster."
"Hahaha. Handsome and you." She asked while fake laughing.
"You mean I'm not handsome?"
"Of course,you are...not."She replied boldly.
"So you mean you don't like me?" He asks walking towards her while looking deep into her eyes.
"N-nope." She hesitated and moved backwards.
"You mean, you wouldn't have married me if your parents wouldn't have forced you?" He smiled thinking that he successfully changed the topic.
"Don't change the topic." She smiled back. Thinking that he feels for her too a smile formed on her face.
"But I actually want to know the answer, Aloo."
"Don't call me aloo." Her back hit the wall and she tried moving but he blocked her way with his well toned arms.
" Tell me, weren't you in love with me before I confessed my hatred for you?" He asked out of curiosity but only after seeing her teary eyes he realised how much those words and moments hurt her. He put down his arms and rest them on her shoulder.
"Hey,I didn't mean to hurt you. I was just trying to make you realise that we don't need a divorce." He tried to console her but her reply shocked him.
"Oh. So you mean I don't have to file a divorce. I should suffer my whole life like this. Being tortured for something I haven't done. I better die than stay with you Armaan." She said. He could see honesty in her eyes. He could see the pain in her eyes. He could see the pain that he caused her.
"Alisha, let's not talk about it." He suggested.
"Yeah, that's all you tell. Let's not talk about it. Fuck it man!!!" She said irritated and left the house not before taking the car keys and her phone.
"Uh...I shouldn't have asked her to send those documents." Armaan thought to himself and left to his room thinking that she'll come back home once her anger cools down.
After few hours...
Armaan's POV
It's been hours and she hasn't come yet. I tried calling her but she ignored it.
Trin trin...my phone buzzed
"Hello."
"What? How? Where is she now?I'll be there soon." And I left.
