The Clichéd Story of My Life

"Maya! Lucas has resigned!-" Hearing this Maya was stunned for a second.

"-I don't know how I let it slip! I-I" Ashely continued in a flustered way.

"Wait, Ashely calm down. Tell me again. Say it calmly this time." As Maya said this, she went back to the main hall where both Aiden and Riely were waiting for her.

She smiled politely at them and picked up the bag Riely had bought for her. In a low voice Maya apologized to them, "I am sorry, it may seem a bit rude but I need to leave for an emergency. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness."

If Riely had not got the clothes early morning, she might have really panicked a bit.

After she thanked her, Maya was guided straight into Riely's room by Aiden. "I have talked to my sister in law, she said that you can use her room. All the new toiletries are kept in the bathroom, you can take them from the cabinet as you please."

Maya smiled and thanked Aiden as she closed the door.

Her heart skipped a beat!♡
