The Clichéd Story of My Life

"Let's go Ashley." Lena said as she and Secretary Aria escorted Ashely to the main office. They were also followed by guards who were in charge of keeping an eye on Carl, the security guard who had misbehaved.

Aria tilted her head a little and softly ordered the guards to stop following them since it would seem rude to the guests. But she told them to be on standby in case something arose that required Carl's presence.

It was quiet in the elevator, there were only three of them including Lena, Aria and Ashley. Since it was Lena's private lift, there were no stops made by the employees on different floors. Though the elevator was moving fast, to Ashley, this unusual silence made it feel like an endless trip.

"It must have been a very important call since Young Miss Maya had to step out for it." Secretary Aria spoke up, easing the tension level in the room.
