We snuck to the barn, the cold breeze was sweeping by us both exactly like the night that started this all. The night that me and Chelsea had went running through this exact same cornfield looking for the same destination. We ran and walked for awhile before getting to the barn together, the doors had been opened as we looked around for what we could. We found nothing but still meant that we could find something else. When we wanted to go around the back of the barn to check for any drag marks we both noticed that someone was in the frame of the door.
Standing there... was Chelsea? We didn't know what to think, she never shows her face around Maria. Maybe she was really worried. Chelsea was panting with her hands on her knees, bent over a little she spoke, "Are you crazy?! What are you doing back here?" but what could I really do? "I couldn't just sit by when I might get you and everyone else that means something to me hurt!" I yelled back at her.
She gave me a look like, "are you seriously this stupid Lily?!" But I didn't care. Ik I had to do something, I couldn't sit around with a question mark on my mind forever like everyone else. "It was you.."
I turned around to see Maria staring straight at Chelsea, her eyes were almost glowing. She looked like a psychopath for a second before Chelsea talked back. "What?" Maria went at her raising her in the air chocking her. Chelsea looked terrified as I stood there and watched. I couldn't keep up with what was going on! Maria started attacking Chelsea! I ran over and tried to pull her arm off Chelsea's throat. "Please! Maria stop it!"
"Please let me kill her Lily. I can't stand the sight of her even being around you anymore." it's like Maria wasn't listening to anything at all! She just wanted to kill her! I pushed Maria off Chelsea and tried to calm her breathing down. "Chelsea.!" She was shaking on the ground, "Ya see why I never wanted you to be around that monster.." Maria looked at me then back at Chelsea. "I'm gonna kill you for making me look like this in front of Lily."
Before Maria tried to go after her again I ran at Maria and held her back, "Chelsea! Go!" She got up and ran out of the barn through the field. "Why are you doing this? Maria, talk to me!" She wouldn't listen at all. "Get out of my way!" Maria threw me to the side before I grabbed her ankle tripping her. I quickly got up and ran past her, maybe she knocked the wind out of her.. I have no clue what happened but she ran out after me looking breathless. Chelsea met me at the end of the cornfield where our houses were, Maria was chasing after us like we were her prey. Maybe her job wasn't done, Chelsea grabbed my arm and took me into her house. She locked the bolted door as we stood in the hallway of her dark house. The moonlight from the giant living room window was making it easy to see everything though. The living room was next to us and behind us were the stairs, Maria got to the door banging on it and screaming no. I thought for a second maybe I was losing my mind. What was gonna happen next? Would I really die? Our mothers weren't around, Chelsea's was gone for the night and mine was already home asleep. I was scared and confused about everything that was going on around me but I had to make a few decisions and I had to make them fast.
