Third Perspective, Elizabeth.>
"The sun's coming down, isn't it...?" Elizabeth quietly whispered, as she looked admiringly towards the finally, unveiled silver moon.
Wiping her sweat, she felt her nostrils become uncomfortably dry, while she brought more of her focus to her slowing breaths.
But, like any other day, she hadn't, nor even thought about paying it more attention than necessary, after all, she had better things to look forward; much, much better things to look forward to.
The main one?
Neo was coming home soon, coming back from his school.
Elizabeth had barely left her son's side, in the past few years, she impeccably glued herself to his tiny side, so in the midst of his first year of schooling, it had naturally summoned, more than enough disastrous thoughts. But, fortunately, she had force herself to smile, and slowly let go of her silk grip, as she understood the undeniable importance of letting her beloved child, taste independence. So, thinking of Neo's best interests, she somehow distracted her unbearable, eventually evolving impatience, with not her usual, patent virtues, but by following her simple-minded, stream of consciousness.
Which mind you, only pulled her to needlessly do more dull chores, hence, in the background, although the house was squeaky clean, and marbled without a single trace of dust, she huffed with tedious fatigue.
To make it even worse, the heat, and humidity sucked the air out of her lungs, and had been circulating in her blue hanfu, which made the fabric stick to Elizabeth's already damp skin.
Every single time she moved her arms, to wipe the new, forming droplets of sweat on her forehead, her clothing would adhesively restrict her movement, before sliding down her flesh, with an iron grip.
A relaxing bath, she silently begged; to release her from this subtle form of torture, and the terrible sweat-stench which engulfed her senses.
Elizabeth dismissed her thoughts, whenever they popped up, but she truly couldn't help but feel a slight restless disturbance so, but, she promised to herself, "later", then did she feel the turmoil in her gut rest.
Elizabeth's mind went blank, as her body jolted up, and ran towards the main gate, the second her ears recognized the slow, pacing steps radiating the stone tiles from afar; the same ones she unhabituated with exclusive affection.
Immediately as her feet reached the uplifted door step, Elizabeth's rapidly moving eyes, found her small son's tiny head, which cut out from the rest, due to his short stature,
He seemingly climbed up the last flight of steep stairs with a hint of confidence, and if you looked closer, you could even see a trace of heeving pride in his eyes, but no matter, Elizabeth couldn't comprehend one thing; "why was he alone?"
"Neo?" Elizabeth raised her voice, in an act of panic, hoping to grab her son's attention, and once she did; Neo, to Elizabeth's relief, stopped all of his movements, solely to reply back with a smile.
"Yes mama?"
"Wait for me dear!"
Elizabeth silently cursed under her breath, as she started to descend the dangerous stone stairs, to pick up her foolish son, who seemed completely oblivious to the current peril he was in;
A single misstep would make him tumble down at least 100 feet; just how dangerous is that?
Although Elizabeth was the CEO of an empire, in her last life, she was undoubtedly, still a mother, and just like any other parent, the second she saw her Neo's slim image, of his feet in the potential jaws of death, her heart couldn't help but fluctuate with anxiety.
Was she supposed to blame someone?
Where was Mr. Yang?
Elizabeth, definitely felt grateful to Mr. Yang, who had took the trouble to bring her son, to the root of the mountain, which was a journey that most people wouldn't undertake, due to the well-known dangers of it.
But, who would, in their right mind, let a kid as young as her son, go alone on this treacherous path, not to mention, without an adult?
Without even considering the amount of animals in the forest itself too?
Elizabeth, was suddenly stabbed with a feeling of pandemonium;
But, Mr. Yang is a family-oriented person, so he wouldn't have voluntarily let Neo go on his own...
Exactly, he might have just let Neo down early, and let him climb the last stairs by himself.
But, c'mon Eliza, your instincts are literally top-notch, how could you not hear any foot steps, especially when it's this quiet?
That's true, but... We can't just... Accuse him on baseless assumptions.
You're right, it's probably because I've fallen down the stairs a couple of times...
Yep, remember how you fractured your arm, and your ankle last time it happened?
Definitely, it's still clear as glass.
Well, I can't blame you, we'll just have to... Ask for the details later.
This conversation repeated itself in her mind, as she tried to clam her hidden sense of loathing, since, consciously, she blamed herself, but in the end, it inevitably also placed some weight on Mr. Yang.
Holding her son, safely back into her arms, she went up the stairs again, and into the light-filled courtyard, away from the forest camouflaged in darkness;
And as well as away, from the pale blue eyes, which stared attentively at her.

"Eat a little more." I said, as I used my chopsticks to pull more food into his bowl, while I watched Neo quickly stuffed his chubby cheeks full with rice, like a small chipmunk, who freshly exited hibernation. seemingly so, like he had been starved for a week prior.
Artlessly due to my brisk pace, of keeping his small bowl filled to the brim with unnecessary food, his once empty stomach inflated, and soon, he retired his chopsticks, and waddled his small head to rest his head on the back of the chair.
He intertwined his fingers on his tiny lap, while he lazily slumped down in his seat; summoning a small chuckle from me, as I propped my elbows on the desk. But, I kept my eyes on his eyelashes, still unable to break away, from thinking about Mr. Yang.
I let out a small sigh, and as I started to feel my muscles relax, I placed my head on my uplifted hand, in a stable position while I continued to admire a very, very tired Neo.
"Awe, are you tired?" I asked with a smile, gently poking his cheek, careful to not accidentally wake him up.
"Ma...Ma..." Neo quietly responded, as his head bobbed up and down, as if he was trying to keep himself awake; while he chewed the last of his food in his mouth, in a tired manner.
...I wonder if he's tired, because he was made to climb all those stairs himself....
Sighs.
There's no point in worrying, I'll just have to ask Neo tomorrow, and if it needs a trip down the mountain, I'll gladly go and interrogate Mr. Yang myself.
Even have an argument or two, if it needs it.
