Part 2

When she got into her room she heard her father call both her and her sister to the living room. She put her bags down and headed there "Yes father" her and Kya said. "I bought you both a gift," he said. Both girls squealed as he handed them both gift bags. Kya opened hers to find a beautiful ruby diamond necklace with matching earrings and a ring. She was so excited that she ran into her father's arms and hugged him. Esme opened hers and saw a lousy card and a candy bracelet. Her smile quickly turned into a frown as she saw what was in her bag. "That's it? Kya gets a ruby and I get a card and a fake bracelet? Do you really love her that much more than me?" she yelled. The room was filled with quiet until Kya finally spoke.

"It's the thought that counts sister don't be an ungrateful prude"

"Of course you can say that you got all the thought in the world put into your gift. You're the favorite child in their eyes but in all reality, you're just a spoiled bitch" Esme said with an attitude.

"Don't talk to your sister like that Esme" father spoke

Esme shook her head in disappointment. He always stood up for Kya and never defended her, she was so sick of it. "All of you can kiss my ass I'm tired of being treated like shit. I'm your daughter too, not only Kya" Esme stated. She didn't want to argue anymore because it was pointless seeing as Kya would be defended no matter what, so she just threw the gift bag in her father's face and walked out to go sit on her balcony. She sat there replaying the incident in her head until she saw a big blue light in the sky. She stood up and started to feel the ground shake, it was an earthquake. The light in the sky seemed to grow bigger and bigger as the ground shook. As Esme was about to go into her room the light in the sky exploded and knocked her unconscious.
