"Are You Crazy?"

Bella stood transfixed with shock as he kissed her long and hard. She suddenly gasped in mortification before pushing him away from her with a strength that surprised him.

Her nostrils flared with anger, and the anger in her eyes was undeniable as she slapped him hard across the face.

"Are you crazy? Of all the preposterous things to do, how dare you do that? Who the hell do you think you are to touch me in that manner?" Bella yelled angrily as she balled her hands into a fist beside her to keep herself from hitting him again.

"Wasn't that what you wanted?" Dan asked with a raised brow as he rubbed his cheek with his right hand, surprised at her sudden outburst.

He suddenly felt stupid for doing what he had just done, and he appreciated the slap, which had helped to reset his brain.

He couldn't understand why he had done something as stupid as that, but neither could he understand the disgust and anger he saw on her face.

How could she be disgusted that an award-winning actor and singer like himself had gifted her a kiss? That was even far better than any autograph he could have given her.

Bella glared at him for several seconds, unable to find the words to express the magnitude of anger she was feeling, before angrily getting out of the Van.

She started walking very fast in the direction they had come from. With any luck, she would be able to hitch a ride back or get someone to lend her a phone, and then she would be as far away from this disgusting idiot as possible.

Dan cursed himself when he saw her walking away, but he was just too proud to go after her. It was almost dawn already, and he was certain she was going to return to the van once she cooled off.

And just maybe he would consider apologizing to her when she returned. For now, he needed to go back to sleep.

He returned to his seat and glanced down when he stepped on something. He picked it up and realized it was a fancy hairpin. He was just going to give it to her when she returned; he assured himself as he dipped it in his pocket and dozed off.

He woke up to the sound of someone tapping on the van door. He opened his eyes to see a middle-aged man who was wearing a hat like he was going fishing.

"Good morning! Are you okay?" The man asked with a kind smile when he saw the confused look on Dan's face.

Dan frowned when he noticed the girl wasn't in the Van. She didn't return? He wondered with a frown as he stood up to look around the Van.

"Did you see my friend? A young lady..." He shook his head as he tried to remember her facial features, but he wasn't too good with such things, so he couldn't describe her looks.

"The lady who was wearing a red gown?" The man asked with a grin.

"Yes! Did you see her? Where is she?" Dan asked curiously as he got out of the Van to meet the man outside.

"I did see her. I live somewhere in the woods over there," The man said, pointing to the direction Dan had driven from before his van ran out of gas.

"She hitched a ride with my wife, who was on her way to the city. She said her Van ran out of gas on her way to an important meeting, so she asked her driver to watch over the Van while she tried to catch up with her meeting. She actually asked me to check on you," The man said with a grin.

'Him, Daniel Williams, a driver? How dare she refer to him as her driver?' He asked himself as he closed his eyes and took a very deep breath, trying not to explode in anger.

"Has anyone ever told you that you look a lot like the actor Daniel Williams?" The man asked with a smile, making Dan rub his eyes with his hands.

"I am Daniel Williams. My van ran out of gas," Dan said with a shrug making the man give him a suspicious look.

Dan simply took out his wallet and showed the man his identity card. "Oh my! You're really Daniel Williams?" The man asked excitedly, making Dan give him a small smile.

He was going to kill that young lady if she ever made the mistake of appearing in front of him again. Dan promised himself.
