Sealed Deal.

Joan rolled her eyes as she turned to follow Bella, who was walking into her bathroom.

"Are you kidding me? Of all you said, that was the most interesting part. So what is his name? I think I will have to put it down in my diary since you don't even keep a diary," Joan said, returning to her bedside drawer to pick up a pen and her diary, which she usually kept there.

"Name? Why would I know his name? Didn't you hear anything else I said apart from the kiss part? He is a crazy person who fancied himself a celebrity!" Bella said and quickly shook her head when she suddenly remembered the strange feeling she had experienced when she looked into his face for the first time.

"You never can tell. Maybe he is indeed a celebrity. Didn't you say the van was quite fanciful? You also said he threw his driver out of it, right? Not just anyone can afford that," Joan reminded her, but Bella simply scoffed.

"That guy isn't capable of being anything remotely close to a celebrity," Bella said as she scrubbed her body with soap while Joan sat on the floor by the bathroom door.

"Why not? Isn't he handsome?" Joan asked thoughtfully. Bella was never the type to lie, and she always said things exactly the way it was.

"Well, I guess he is. But I don't care. It takes more than good looks to become a celebrity," Bella said and shivered again when the picture of his face flashed before her eyes.

"And you would know that because you're a celebrity, right?" Joan asked sarcastically before standing up to throw Bella a towel from the towel rail. She had everything in spare for Bella since Bella spent as much time with her as she spent in her own home.

"He is rude, he is annoying, he is a snub, he molests women, he thinks too highly of himself. Does any of these sounds like Brad Pitt's qualities to you?" She asked Joan with a raised brow.

"Brad Pitt is probably the only actor you know, and simply because you've seen him just once doesn't mean you should use him as a yardstick to judge other celebrities!" Joan said, following her back into the room to help her apply the skin lotion on her back.

She knew Bella only used these cosmetics when she was with her; Bella was too tomboyish to care about her appearance when alone.

"Quit speaking as though he is a celebrity!" Bella snapped at her.

"And what if he is?" Joan asked cocking her head to the side.

"He just isn't. I know it," Bella said with a sleepy yawn. She needed to shower and sleep before going to join her family at the restaurant.

"I say it is possible that he is a celebrity, and you say he isn't. Let's place a bet then," Joan said, extending her pinky finger for a bet.

"Fine. If he isn't, you will sponsor my gender reassignment surgery," Bella said, making Joan's upper lip curl with disgust.

"I've told you to stop saying such crazy things! Your mother would kill you if she heard that," Joan said with a scowl.

"Well? Are we going to have the bet or not? We both know my instincts are always right," Bella said with a confident smile.

Joan looked at Bella thoughtfully as she considered her own terms. This was the first time she was ever having a conversation concerning a guy with Bella for longer than five minutes. That had to mean something.

"If he is indeed a celebrity, You will stop this madness about a gender reassignment surgery, and you will date him. I don't care how you do it, but you will since he gave you your first kiss," Joan said with a smug smile.

Bella shook her head in disgust without bothering to consider it. "No way!"

"I thought your instincts are always right?" Joan asked with a mocking smile.

"I still can't agree to the bet. It has to be just one condition," Bella said as she jumped on the bed and propped herself on one elbow.

Joan considered it seriously for one moment before deciding on the one that was most important to her. "Okay, if you lose, then you will have to stop this madness about a gender reassignment surgery."

Hopefully, she would fall in love over time, maybe with the crazy celebrity guy if they crossed paths again.

"Fine. It may not happen anyway since the chances of meeting him again are very slim," Bella said before crossing her pinky finger over Joan's outstretched one.

"The deal is sealed," Joan said with a smile as she inwardly prayed that she was right and the guy was truly a celebrity. She really didn't want Bella to have a gender reassignment surgery. The thought didn't sit well with her.
