Bella was jolted awake by a shrill sound, and she jumped out of her bed and looked around her room in alarm as she wondered where the sound was coming from.
"I suppose you are awake now. Dress up and meet me by the hallway in ten minutes," Dan's voice boomed from a loudspeaker she couldn't see.
"What for?" Bella asked as she picked up her phone from the bed to check the time, "It's barely six in the morning!" Bella complained bitterly. He had finally allowed her to go to bed a few minutes before midnight, and now he wanted her up before six.
"And you've slept for five hours. That's good enough. Come out; we need to exercise and keep fit," Dan said with a grin, and he really wished he could see the look on her face.
"But I never complained of not being fit. I'm fit enough already. Besides, I don't have exercise clothes," Bella complained.
