Dan's eyes narrowed in suspicion as he went through the note Bella had dropped alongside the documents she had sorted out the previous day. There was absolutely no way she could have done this herself. It was just too organised to be her work. This was totally unbelievable. He decided to keep cross-checking all the proposals one more time before approving the highlighted ones. He would also use the time to wait for her to join him in the office.

The more he cross-checked the proposals, the more he doubted that she had done the work herself. It was either she had lied to him about being bored by such write-ups, or she had deliberately lied to him in the hope of not doing the work, and something told him it was the former.
