One Meeting.

Bella mentally counted to ten before speaking to Joan again, "You really shouldn't have told him anything about Ben or me. That complicates everything now. Ben has no idea about all that transpired between Dan and me on your birthday. What am I supposed to do if he shows up at the restaurant and meets with Ben, thinking he is his hairpinrella?" Bella asked, sounding more worried and confused now than angry.

"Though I'm still mad at you for keeping it from me, but I'm sorry I handled it wrongly," Joan murmured.

Bella took in a deep breath; since they were no longer going to be shouting, it was probably best they had the rest of the conversation inside the bedroom instead of in the bathroom, so she walked over to the door and opened it, "I don't want to fight with you over this, okay? I'm sorry I didn't tell you the truth when I found out he was the one. If I had done that, all of this wouldn't have happened," Bella said apologetically before going to sit on the bed.
