"Speaking about exposing someone, I think your parents called him to find out if you were here. Shouldn't you go home? Things might be complicated for Bella and her family if your parents were to find out you have been hiding at her house," Joan explained. 

"That is why you all will have to make sure they don't find me. I think a disguise will work perfectly. What do you think?" Nicole asked with a grin. 

"This may seem like a really exciting game to you, but if your parents..."

"It's not a game, okay? I just need their attention. They're too busy with their jobs to give me their time and attention, so I'm trying to remind them they still have a kid. Just help me hide for a week. I promise to go back home after a week," Nicole pleaded. 

"And what if they go to the cops to file a missing person complaint?" Bella asked thoughtfully.
