The Painting (2)

Dan parked the car in front of Richard's apartment before turning to look down at Bella, who had dozed off a while ago. Seeing how smooth and clear her face was, he wondered why he hadn't suspected that she was a girl. He swallowed when his gaze fell on her lips which were slightly parted, and he remembered kissing her soft inexperienced lips. He fought the sudden urge to reach out and brush his thumb over her lips as he briefly wondered when she was going to return his kiss passionately. For him, it was a matter of 'When' not 'If' since he did not doubt that there was something gradually coming up between them, even if he didn't exactly know what it was yet.

He moved away from her and sat up in his seat when she sighed and stirred in her sleep. She moved as though she was trying to adjust to a more comfortable sleeping position.
