Aki's gaze was fixed on Reiji, a burning intensity in his eyes. But Reiji remained oblivious, his attention solely on Eve. The carriage rolled to a halt before the imposing, snow-covered mountain, its peak lost in the swirling white. Eve, offering no resistance, passively followed the guards who gestured for her to disembark. Just as she was about to step away, Reiji gently took her hand, halting her progress. 'I'll just be a moment.' he said to the guards, who had moved to intervene. Aki and Gong got down slowly from the carriage, Aki's eyes never leaving Reiji and Eve. Reiji spoke briefly with Eve, a silent request passing between them. Eve remained expressionless, her face a mask.
