The aftermath

But what they saw was anything but freedom. They expected to be saved by the boys in blue but they got anything but what they were expecting.

As they looked upon the massacre they noticed 3 devilish figures on top of the rubble all staring, smiling, smoking. Red. Green. Blue. Then like a flash of light they were gone.

"That was them.... wasn't it?" Ethan stuttered, he then rotated his head to see the building that's erasing the evidence of the crime. "They really did it." He said softly.

"It was..." Jack hung his head in shame, "and we're the ones to blame for it all." He sat down in the corner and started to stream tears from his eyes. "Th-th-they killed so many people just to get our a-a-attention." Mark them came by his side.

"Look, this is bad we all know that but they've left and to get revenge for these people's lives we need to now prepare and stop this from happening to others ever again." Mark softly stated while wiping the tears from his eyes. He couldn't shake the image from his head... there must be over a million dead here... oh god what are we gonna do.

Then Eathan noticed an orange glow coming from the building, he then realised why they were running away.

"Guys we have a bigger problem! " Eathan screamed. He then got out his phone only to descover that it had been smashed "Anyone's phone actually working?"

Jack and Mark both shook their heads in unison.

Great, guess I'll have to try those police cars Ethan thought he then sprunt towards the police cars and tried every radio he could find  "Hello can anyone hear me?"

He tried 20 radios all with the same response... bzzzzzz bzzzzzzz bzzzzzzz. Nothing. All 20 radios they were all completely and utterly dead. With a blazing fire behind them, people coming to kill them and every police officer dead... they felt powerless, they couldn't do anything... but make things worse.

"We should go before they come back to get us!" Jack stuttered, skulking away.
