Mylo did care about Efferus feeling but his primary reason for not choosing the sword was because he already had the ego weapon. It might be stronger than his current sword but later on, he knew it would far surpass the value of a unique tier weapon.

*Allows the player to look around his surroundings through an elevated view. With a perspective as though the observer were a bird. Excellent skill for scouts and assassins.

The choice wasn't difficult for Mylo. He didn't need the sword because he had the Ego sword and he couldn't make use of the eagle eye because it was an active skill, even though it was an amazing skill to have. His only option was the elixir. Even if he had a use for all three of those items he would still take the elixir. A ten-point boost to all his stats was equal to 25 level ups. And since he wanted to be a jack of all trade. This item was indispensable for him.
"Since the sword hold such sentimental value to you, I will remove it from my choices. As for the skill book, I may be your friend but I'm not part of your family. I do not wish to be the one who ends a family tradition. Il take the Elixir. Oh and give me the Iron Body Strengthening Technique as well, il buy it.
"…I'm glad you were the one who saved me; such lack of greed is to be proud of. Here take them. You don't have to pay for the iron body technique, it's a gift."

The iron body strengthening technique increased a player's defence by 10% and vitality by 2 points at level 1. As for the Focused Strike, it was an active skill that focused all the players remaining mana into a single strike that could be used with any weapon. Since it's an active skill, he didn't take long to put it aside.
"Now that we're done with that. I'll go home and write a letter to the king to have a meeting with him. Come back to my place in two days. And don't worry about Aureus I'll take good care of him during those two days. After we're done with the current issue, I'll make sure that he meets his father."

Mylo stood up from his seat and went inside one of the rooms available in the Inn. He closed the door and sat down on the bed. He slowly opening his inventory menu and took out a small bottle filled with glittering pinkish liquid. He removed the lid and slowly started drinking its content.
