Cooked to death

Getting down to the fourteenth floor, he walked straight to the gigantic door. This floor only had a single tunnel with no traps or monsters whatsoever and only a single door which separated the dungeon boss from other monsters.

With Zaya flying next to him, he pushed the door and walked in confidently.

The interior of the room was made of black rocks with some bluestones which made different forms on the walls and brightened the entire room. On the other side of the room was a gigantic orc with complete black skin. Both of his eyes were red and he had two horns on top of his head which curved to protect his bald skull.

Both of his hands were holding giant double-edged swords and he wore full body armour.

When Aurus entered the room, the boss immediately turned his eyes towards Aurus and grinned. His teeth were full of blood and pieces of meat, he didn't doubt that he didn't brush his teeth.

Looking around on the ground, Aurus saw a completely flat terrain with bones everywhere.

Still, in his enraged state, Aurus sprinted towards the orc and started his onslaught. Along with Zaya who supported him as he attacked the boss, he didn't manage to make a lot of wounds as his skin and the armour was too tough.

Being repelled like that cleared Aurus's head as he became more serious about the battle.

Running to it, he used all of his agility to evade the strikes made by the brutal orc. The swords swept everywhere and Aurus could tell it didn't practise much with his weapons, more relying on his great strength and endurance.

Crouching to evade the blow, Aurus attacked the wrists of the orc. Its body was completely made of tough armour and only his wrists were armour free. The reason was most likely because it would hinder its movement or something. However, Aurus didn't care as he continually hacked on the right wrist of the orc in order to break it and make it lose one of his swords.

Zaya shouted some fireball from time to time to the face of the orc to block its view and make it howl in pain. While the armour was great to protect from a physical blow, it could also heat up thanks to the flame of Zara.

After over five minutes of fighting with Zaya shooting the fire beams over ten times, he finally managed to break its wrist. The orc possessed a high regenerative power and he had used a lot of force to finally manage to break it.

Turning to its other hand, Aurus used his sword and the mana arrows to attack the wrist. Now that one had been cut off, it was a lot easier to take care of the big guy. After all, with one less sword to evade, it gave him more time to attack.

With Zaya still supporting him, he continued to hack at the orc but after seeing its face as it crouched down trying to touch him, his mind instantly came back to the three previous girls and the rage which had started to be extinguished flamed up once again.

Concentrating his power on his sword, trying to cut off the other wrist once and for all, mana slowly gathered on the sword making a white glow appear on it. Fixing his eyes on the wrist, Aurus rapidly hacked the sword at the wrist and a second later, the wrist could be seen falling down on the ground along with the other sword.

The dungeon boss howled with anger as it used his legs and body to try to hit him.

Meanwhile, Aurus avoided the hits and attacked the neck of the boss. Unfortunately, the white flow which had appeared when he cut off the wrist didn't appear again as he merely hacked his sword on the armour while Zara continuously spewed her flames at the same spot.

Finally, after being hit twice by the legs of the orc, it started to weaken as blood was pouring everywhere on the ground.

Seeing that slicing the armour didn't work out much as his sword wasn't strong enough, he merely stopped attacking and had Zaya continue to spew her flames while it slowly emptied itself of its blood.

After more than ten minutes, the orc finally fell down on the ground and Aurus collected the body before making its way to the next floor. The floors only now appeared after the boss died.

With Zaya which was still full of strength and himself which just couldn't feel tired in this world, he made his way down to supposedly the last floor.

And indeed, as he arrived on the last floor, he saw a sun in the sky with a garden full of flowers and a house next to a small lake. However, all this serenity was broken by the cadavers on the ground and blood staining the flowers.

Aurus tightened his grip on his sword and made his way to the house. He wasn't sure if there were any traps so he had Zaya burn everything while he made his way closer to the house made of wood.

Still seeing no sign of the dungeon master, he ordered Zaya to throw a fireball to the wooden house before he retreated.

However, even when he put the entire house on fire, the dungeon master couldn't be seen anywhere. Frowning, he ordered Zaya to simply burn everything in this small place. Indeed, the space on this floor was quite small as it only had a lake, a garden which was completely burned, a house which was the same as the garden and a small forest behind the house.

Not bothering to control Zaya seeing that almost everything on this floor was already burned down, he had Zaya put the entire forest on fire.

While everything was burning, they simply waited in silence with Zaya on his shoulder.

The dungeon master was supposed to be on this floor according to all of the known documents of the adventurers guild. As such, it was impossible for the master to be elsewhere. Even if he couldn't find the dungeon master, the dungeon core was certainly going to be on this floor or the dungeon wouldn't be able to operate anymore.

Over half an hour later, everything had stopped burning and was merely smoking. Nothing remained on this floor except the small lake which obviously couldn't be burned.

Turning his eyes to the lake, he understood that the dungeon master was probably hiding inside the lake. Going on the edge, he looked at the lake and he could see the bottom. On the extreme side on the right, there was a small hole at the bottom which made Aurus realize that the dungeon master had hidden under the earth.

Looking at where the tunnel started, he figured it couldn't go very far considering the size of the floor and he sat down, feeling the mana in the air.

He was surprised to see that he could control the mana way more easily than before. As he closed his eyes and felt the different elements surrounding him, he made a complete sweep with his intent trying to find out where the cave led to. By following the concentrated mana of water, he could tell where the tunnel went and finally when the water mana stopped, Aurus knew he had found where the dungeon master laid.

Walking to the right place, he had Zaya give the most powerful blast of fire she could do on the ground. Since the cave wasn't far down, he knew that he could force the cave to collapse and then he would simply have to search for the dungeon core and the body of the dungeon master.

Zaya concentrated the fire in her mouth and a beam of fire fired directly on the ground.

Along with a thunderous sound and a great earthquake, the ground started to collapse and he had Zara continue to send beams of fire directly in the small hole which had been opened. By attacking there, the damage to the ground would be greater which would make it collapse and at the same time, if it could cook the dungeon master to death, it would be a great way to take revenge for the three previous adventurers.

Although he was the one who killed them, he knew they were grateful since he ended their suffering. At the same time, the one which took their hope away was the dungeon master and its monsters. So, it was justified saying he was taking revenge for them.

Finally, after a total of seven beams of fire, the ground completely collapsed.

Happy with this situation, he waited for a moment, the air around the hole was extremely hot and he didn't want to go there right away considering the heat. Anyway, if the dungeon master was alive, he would be able to kill it once he got out.

After around twenty minutes, he felt the air cool down a little and he started to work to find both the dungeon master body and the dungeon core.

Using mana manipulation to manipulate the elements to lift the earth and move it, he managed to take out the debris without having too much trouble.

After a long time, he found the dungeon master body. It had completely red skin, most likely because he had been cooked to death. He possessed three horns on its head and that was about it. Due to the high heat, his clothes and items he might have had been completely burnt and what remained on his body was merely red skin which had started to liquefy itself. Aurus could tell, it hadn't been fun dying in these circumstances and thinking about how it died, he finally calmed down a little while happy at the torture he had inadvertently caused the dungeon master.
