Bringing A Lover?

Eugene sat within the carriage, patiently awaiting Kaizer.

As the carriage door swung open, Khalil entered with a wide grin, and following him was Kaizer, causing Eugene's eyebrow to raise in curiosity, pondering how the two brothers came to be together.

"Sister-in-law, father had some urgent matters, so he instructed me to accompany you and my brother!"

Eugene's lips twitched.

"I am not yet prepared to return to the dukedom."

Khalil looked surprised and inquired, "Where are you headed, then?"

"I'm going to fetch Timber."

Kaizer's expression turned cold as he gazed at Eugene with intense eyes. "To meet him. What do you plan to do?"

Eugene shrugged nonchalantly.

"I cannot leave him in the Rozans Household."

Once Kaizer and Khalil boarded the carriage, it started moving. Earlier, Eugene had already informed the coachman to head toward the Rozans Household, indicating that they were on their way to Rozans for a single person, which made Kaizer's face turn sour.

"Eugene, are you testing my patience?"

Eugene glanced at Kaizer coldly and replied, "There's no need for a test. Even if we get married, I doubt there will be any love between us. After all, there's no such feeling between the two of us."

"Eugene!"

Khalil's face turned pale as he observed the argument between his brother and sister-in-law.

"Kaizer, if you don't want to be here, you can leave the carriage now."

Kaizer's eyes reddened with fury.

"I fear I have been overly indulgent with you lately."

"No, Kaizer. I have never been the recipient of your indulgence. Are you perhaps hallucinating?"Khalil feigned a cough.

"Brother, sister-in-law, let us remain calm."

Eugene crossed his arms and remained silent. He gazed out of the carriage window, deliberately avoiding eye contact with the seething Kaizer. Naturally, this was an attempt to prevent further arguments, as he had grown weary of excessive discourse.

Kaizer was truly enraged by Eugene's demeanor, but nevertheless managed to restrain himself from losing control, as he had promised Eugene and suspected Eugene to be testing him. However, even as he contemplated the other party's apathy towards him and the closeness shared between Eugene and Timber, Kaizer, who had been observing Eugene while Khalil occupied his body, had always overheard Eugene's affectionate disposition towards a particular individual.

And he is certain that the person Eugene referred to as Timber is indeed the one.

After a few minutes, the carriage came to a halt.

Kaizer clenched his fist and observed as Eugene stepped out, his eyes issuing a warning to both of them.

"Don't even think about interfering. It will only take a moment," Eugene stated, his gaze fixed on them.

Khalil furrowed his brows, clasping his hands together.

Kaizer, on the other hand, lowered his gaze, concealing his eyes filled with tumultuous thoughts. Eugene exited the carriage and teleported into Rozan's mansion, easily shattering a level fifteen barrier without exerting much effort, leaving the people inside the Rozans in shock.

Bogshhh.

Khalil flinched and peered outside.

The western section of the Rozans mansion exploded and collapsed, accompanied by the sound of screams echoing throughout the area. The guards, alerted by the chaos, rushed inside. Eugene had claimed it would only take a minute.

It seemed that he intended to act aggressively, as three consecutive explosions reverberated in the air.

Khalil swallowed hard and glanced at his silent brother.

Although he didn't have a complete understanding of his brother's relationship with Eugene, he was certain that the current situation was not improving but rather growing more complicated. It all began with Eugene's parents, their shared origins, and the concealed mysteries of the world. Khalil was aware of everything and shared the desire to uncover the truth that both his brother and Eugene held.

Too bad he can't stick his nose.

After five minutes, the carriage door opened, revealing Eugene holding the unconscious Timber in his arms.

Kaizer's eyes widened, his gaze intense as it fixed upon the person in Eugene's embrace. Hatred was evident in his eyes.

"It's done. Let's return," Eugene stated.

Kaizer clenched his teeth. "Are you planning to bring him into the dukedom?!"

Eugene cradled Timber carefully in his arms and looked at Kaizer, whose eyes remained fixated on Timber.

"Yes. The security of the dukedom is better," Eugene replied.

"Are you trying to humiliate me?! Bringing someone into my grand dukedom, knowing that we are destined to be married?! Do you have no regard for me at all?!" Kaizer exclaimed, his voice filled with frustration.

Khalil frowned, dissatisfied as he glanced at Eugene.

This was going too far for his brother.

He didn't approve of it either.

Not only would his brother be affected, but the entire Karsten would be humiliated if news of this spread. Who in their right mind would bring someone into the territory of their prospective spouse? Even a husband couldn't have the audacity to bring a concubine into the household as long as the main wife was alive. Eugene's actions were a direct insult, enough to accuse him of a crime.

"Let's discuss this when we return," Eugene suggested.

Khalil pursed his lips, not wanting to involve himself in the two's predicament.

He knew his brother well.

He wouldn't let such a thing happen.

However, he also knew that from this point forward, things would descend into chaos.

Eugene embraced Timber tightly, avoiding eye contact with Kaizer. He could sense the seething anger emanating from Kaizer, as if at any moment he might launch himself at Eugene with the intention of killing him. But did Eugene feel fear? No, because he had been killed by Kaizer multiple times before, and he no longer harbored such emotions towards him. Eugene could withstand Kaizer's madness, but if Kaizer were to vent his anger on Timber, that's when Eugene would refuse to remain passive.

Timber was not someone whom just anyone could touch.

Even Kaizer was not qualified.

The journey didn't last long, and they soon arrived at the grand dukedom.

As Eugene entered the castle with Timber in his arms, every servant lifted their heads to look at them, their gazes shifting between Eugene and the person he held. They then turned their attention to the darkened expression on the face of the little grand duke and the distorted countenance of the youngest master, Khalil.

"T-This is..."

The head butler gazed at Eugene and Kaizer, confusion etched on his face.

Eugene disregarded their gazes and stated, "He will stay in my room. No need to prepare a guest room."

Kaizer clenched his fist, causing the chandelier's light to flicker and shatter, eliciting screams of fright from the servants who huddled to the side, their eyes wide with fear, fixed on Eugene and Kaizer.

Eugene furrowed his brow and shielded Timber in his arms, preventing the shards of glass from falling onto him.

"Kaizer, stop behaving like a madman."

Another series of shattering sounds echoed through the castle.

"Crazy?! Me?! Eugene, I have been restraining myself from losing control, but what have you done?! You brought someone right under my nose! You humiliated me by bringing your lover into my own territory! Do you think I wouldn't go mad?!"

Lover?

Everyone's eyes widened, their hands instinctively covering their mouths.

Their master's intended marriage partner had brought a lover? Wasn't that utterly insane?! All eyes focused on the person cradled in Eugene's arms, staring at Eugene as if he were a lunatic.

No wonder their master was furious!

It was all because someone who didn't understand their place had brought a lover, resulting in the humiliation of the little grand duke! Wasn't this completely outrageous?! How could a marriage partner dare to bring a lover into the household of their fiancé?! If this wasn't madness, then what was it?!

Eugene didn't bother to correct Kaizer's statement.

Khalil, on the other hand, felt a wave of dizziness wash over him.

Is Timber not just a friend of Eugene's, but his lover?! No wonder their intimacy seemed excessive! Could their relationship truly be like that?! It was too much to bear! No wonder his brother was livid!

"If it bothers you so much that I brought my lover, then I will leave with Timber," Eugene sighed."Leave?! You dare to leave me?!"

Eugene sighed again. "If bringing my lover humiliates you to such an extent, then go speak with the emperor and halt the marriage. I am prepared to step out of the dukedom to appease your unreasonable self."

"Leave?! In the end, you still want to abandon me?!"

Kaizer began to advance, raising his arms as if intending to grab Eugene's arm. However, Eugene glared at Kaizer, clutching Timber tightly in his embrace, misunderstanding the situation as Kaizer attempting to harm Timber.

Kaizer's raised arms froze in mid-air as he let out a crazed laugh.

"Very well, so you want to call off this marriage, is that it? Then let me tell you..." Kaizer tilted his head, a surge of negative emotions brewing in his eyes. "I won't let go. This marriage will not be terminated! As for your lover, fine, I will permit you to keep him. But ensure that you keep him within your sights at all times, for in my territory, anything that displeases me will not receive a warm reception."

Kaizer's outburst continues, and he turns his attention to the servants.

"Remember this, a lover should know their place! You will all respect my future wife but no one should respect a little lover!"

Eugene's eyes dilate with anger as he gazes at Kaizer.

Meanwhile, Kaizer continues to laugh, turning to Eugene with a wide smile."The marriage will continue, Eugene. I will make sure that in this relationship. I'll be the one with you at the altar!"Eugene's heart races, realizing that Kaizer truly refuses to let go.

With this new development and Kaizer's misunderstanding, Eugene knows he will have a lot to explain to Timber once he awakens. There is also an audience with the emperor scheduled for tomorrow, and Eugene cannot leave Timber alone in the mansion, nor can he bring Timber to the palace. The situation has become even more complicated now.

Ignoring Kaizer, Eugene walks upstairs.

Raphael, who has been waiting, looks at his young master with a pale face.

"Young master, d-did you just..." Raphael's gaze falls on the person in Eugene's arms.

"Raphael, from now on, you will treat him the same way you treat me."

Raphael hisses and bows his head. "Yes, young master."

He doesn't fully understand what is happening, but he knows that his young master's actions will put them at a disadvantage in the household. How will he handle the other servants who will undoubtedly come to vent their anger at him because of his young master's actions? It's all just too much.

As Kaizer watches Eugene leave, Kaizer feels a deep sense of resentment and begins breaking everything within his reach.

"Brother, calm down!"

"Your Highness!"

The head butler frowns, looking at the expensive vases shattered on the floor.

It's all over now.

His Highness has never been humiliated before.

What should they do?

Observing his frustrated master, the head butler sighs helplessly. Thankfully, Lancelotte returns shortly after and manages to calm down His Highness for a moment before discussing the situation.

Kaizer doesn't want to talk to anyone, so Khalil approaches Lancelotte, seeking advice on how to handle this situation.

Lancelotte is also at a loss.

Something like this has never happened before, and he fears that Eugene is the first to have caused such chaos.

"I'll try to speak with Young Master Eugene. For now, His Highness needs to calm down, or the castle will be destroyed by him—"

Before Lancelotte can finish his sentence, a loud explosion reverberates through the air.

Lancelotte: "!!!"

Khalil: "???"

Lancelotte immediately rushes upstairs, calling out, "Your Highness!"

Khalil's jaw drops as he watches the wall crumble with a single punch. Both he and Lancelotte hurry to restrain his elder brother, preventing further damage to the castle.

"Let go!"

"Brother, please calm down!"

"Khalil, if I don't do this, I fear there will be bloodshed."

Lancelotte facepalms and looks at the youngest master, asking, "Where is the grand duke?"Khalil shakes his head, still holding onto his brother's arms, and replies, "Father is working on the Duke Del Viltaria and Marquis Shradinza case. I don't know when he will return, as the emperor has also requested his presence."

Lancelotte bites his lip.

"Ah?!" Khalil exclaims as his brother pushes him and kicks the nearby table.

Khalil's weakened body, having been sealed for years, is thrown to the floor by the force of his brother's push.

"Young master!"

Lancelotte hurriedly helps Khalil, who trembles in pain, his eyelashes furrowed.

"Your Highness, the young master is hurt!"

Kaizer glares at the two of them and angrily shouts, "Leave!"

Khalil purses his lips, looking at his brother aggrievedly.
