Affair

Definition: A sexual relationship, romantic friendship, or passionate between two people, one or both of whom are married to someone else.

It is never easy for someone who has witnessed testimony of such event. The silent sound that the heart makes upon the discovery of infidelity, the fraction of time that lays still, the wrenching, tightening of the chest - only to combine and be executed by pain.

The destruction that lays awake afterwards is implacable; from the self-destruction to seeking revenge is damaging to the person's soul.

The falling apart during the day until the nighttime to where you have a little bit of yourself gathered together; only to repeat the cycle again the next day. The desperation of not wanting to accept reality - being in complete denial.

The boundaries damaged, trust broken, and a heart in pieces, the constant reminder left lingering in one's mind.

"Was I never good enough?"

"What did I do wrong?"

"Where did it go wrong?"

"It can't be real..they wouldn't do that to me, right?"

Once, the cruel reality sinks, the world of love that was once believed to be so pure and true is forever crushed.

Despite healing over time, you think twice, hesitate before developing feelings for someone else or you just choose loneliness over the virtue of loving so that it can't be a disappointment if it fails.
