"Come here darling, I have something to show you upstairs. I hope your hungry." The man hollered as he made his way up the stairs.

The girl got out of the chair in a hurry, the children seemed too be staring her down as if she was their next meal. Their eyes were piercing her heart as she quickly ran toward the stairs in fear to be alone with them any longer.

When she made it upstairs she saw the door she tried opening before close. She made her way to the door when a hand was roughly placed on it causing her to shriek.

"Oh I'm sorry dear, the food is ALMOST ready. Don't want you to disturb the cook while she's finishing the preparations. Here, sit down darling. Make yourself at home." He said while sitting on the chair in the living room where she woke up.

She slowly made her way to the couch when she felt eyes on her. She glanced up to see the children eyeing her from a far.

"Oh honey, sit next to me... They won't touch you if you stay right with me."

She didn't hesitate to sit next to the man on the chair. Even though her leg was touching his and this was very uncomfortable for her, she felt oddly safe with this man.
