Reunited

10 YEARS LATER

"Jocephine! Hurry up!" Klair called out frustratedly. "We're going to be late!" she shouted once again, causing Jocephine to come out of the house without getting to brush her hair. Just like back in high school.

They were walking in a fast pace until they caught sight of Keila waiting at the end of the alley. She heard their footsteps and immediately turned to them with a smile on her face, "The nostalgia is killing me. How many years has it been since we left this area?" she asked.

Klair rubbed his hands together and blew on it, she was feeling very cold since the moment she woke up. "It's been 10 years, Keila."

Keila looked up on the sky and smiled, "It's been that long? It was just like yesterday that we came here to go to school together." She shot a glance at Jocephine who kept fixing her thin bangs, "10 years had past and you still haven't combed your hair."

Jocephine looked at her in confusion, "10 years? No! I comb my hair everyday. I just didn't get to do it right now because a grumpy monster wants me to hurry up." she answered and Klair rolled her eyes, knowing that she's the grumpy monster Jocephine was referring to.

"It was a joke, you airhead." Keila sighed. Even after a decade, she is still such a slow poke. No jokes can go through her head properly so it's pointless to even kid around with her.

"Actually, only the two of us came to school together. This lady here was always sent to school by a car." Klair said to Keila and Jocephine flashed them a sheepish smile.

Klair always arrives at the school 1 hour early before class, except, of course, when she's with Keila. Keila's one of the students who comes late and arrives when the morning ceremony is halfway done.

Wanting to hurry up, Klair turned to Jocephine, "Let's go now, did you bring your car?" Klair asked.

"Oh, my car..." Jocephine mumbled as she averted her gaze. "Jocephine, where the hell is your car?"

"I left all my cars back at the mansion's garage, Hehe." she answered. Klair's eyes squinted at her bestfriend, "All of it? I don't believe you. How did you get here, then?"

Jocephine scratched her nape and sighed, "I bumped into someone's car on my way here." Keila's and Klair's brows raised, "Then?"

"There was bump at the back of his car, he told me to compensate by giving my car to him. He took my car and left his, but he didn't leave the key behind." she stated.

They stared at her with disbelief and facepalmed, "Oh, good Lord. You were scammed!" Keila said and laughed.

"I was scammed? Oh no!"

"You are so stupid! How could you be fooled just like that? That man probably thought you looked like an idiot, which you are by the way, but still!" Klair wiped her face with his hand in frustration.

Keila stretched out her arm straight to the road to signal to the mini bus coming their way. "What are you doing? Are we going to commute?"

"What do you think I'm doing?" she answered sarcastically, "It's fine. It's just one ride to the school."

"Yeah, right. Just like the old times!" Jocephine chimed in.

"Excuse you! You didn't commute to school, your family have many cars." Klair said. "The bus is here, let's go!"

Ronjay, Jayson and Sebastian, all stood up in front of Luis's old house that is also a computer shop, eating street foods.

The door opened and Luis came out, surprised by the group of boys in front of him, he frowned. "A bunch of smelly boys are in front of my house, get out of here." they all laughed and they put out a middle finger to Luis.

"The owner of a big computer shop and a gaming company is here. Never thought you'd be so successful. You looked like you would just work in your family's small computer shop." Sebastian said to Luis jokingly, he tapped him on the shoulder, "I'm just kidding."

"Never thought that a person like you with a face of a criminal would become a police." Luis said to Sebastian as a counter. Sebastian frowned and Luis tapped him on the shoulder, "I'm also just kidding, man." He said with a mocking smile. Jayson and Ronjay looked at each other feeling the awkward atmosphere then laughed.

"Our old gang is almost complete, only Jayjay is missing. Where is he?" Jayson asked. "Not sure." Ronjay answered.

Luis raised his hand and pointed back inside his old shop. "Jayjay is in there." They all looked at the figure standing by the door, listening to their conversation.

"Jayjay!" they called out with a smile and immediately went towards him. "Are you still a playboy?" they laughed.

He smiled, "Damn you, I don't have time for girls now."

"Holy crap, are you serious?" Ronjay said, they couldn't believe such words that came out of a liar and a womanizer's mouth.

Jayjay laughed, "I'm serious, I didn't get to date girls anymore because of my job." he stated.

"I would never had imagined that you'd stop hanging with girls because of work." Jayson stared incredulously at Jayjay.

Luis and Jayjay's eyes met then he looked back at them, "I'm bound to a contract."

Sebastian squinted, "What contract?"

"A contract to help in making a game." he answered.

The three guys nodded as a response as they already know that Jayjay is a game programmer, "Is it a new game? But Luis's company hasn't put out an ad for an upcoming game yet." Jayson stated. "Do you have an early access? I want to try the game." Ronjay said.

Jayjay looked at both of his hands and let out a snort. "You wouldn't want to try that game," he stared deep into Ronjay's eyes,

"It's a game that will bring everything you worked hard for into ruin."

They all fell silent, trying to interpret what he just said. It sounded too deep that they didn't bother asking and just hurried as they noticed the time had gone on too fast. "Let's go! They might be waiting for us."

They were about to go but Luis and Jayjay stayed still, "Hold up, Justine is almost done." Jayjay said and looked inside the shop.

After a while, a man in a black hoodie came out holding a laptop. "Oh, Justi—" they were all taken aback when he suddenly dropped the laptop and stepped on it until it was brutally smashed.

The three looked at each other while Justine bent down to pick it up and threw it into the trash.

The atmosphere became awkward once again, but Justine look at them and smiled, "Long time no see, guys. Let's go to the academy." and he started walking ahead of them.

Spade pulled up the car and dropped Agatha at the side walk, close to the school. Even after stopping the car, Agatha stayed in her seat. Spade glanced at her with worry, "Are you okay?" he asked.

Agatha gripped her seat belt tightly near her chest, "I just..." She took a quick look at Spade, "I just feel like I shouldn't have come here." she responded with anxiety plastered on her face.

"Why would you think like that, Mrs. Sanchez?" he asked and held her hand up and gave it a peck.

She squeezed his hand and turned to him, "Sir Spade, maybe I really shouldn't have come back here. What if something bad happen?" she said, still anxious about the sudden gush of fright she felt since they left home.

Spade caressed her hair and pulled her to his chest to hug her, "Fool, why would something bad happen at a reunion? You'll be alright." he said to assure her, and kissed her head.

They pulled away and Spade went out of the car, he stopped in front of Agatha's door and opened in for her. Agatha stepped out and he closed the door. They smiled and gave each other a quick kiss on the lips before parting, she waited for Spade to get inside and the windows rolled down, "Have fun at the reunion, Love." he said as goodbye.

"Alright, Goodbye." she responded with a smile. "Don't forget to feed Santino and Chezza!" she added as he drove away.

She still feels like everything is just a dream. Who would have thought she'd get to marry a teacher she had a crush on? She smiled once again and started walking towards the academy.

As she arrive, she saw the others at the gate. Elay, Rica, Leyan, CC, Mitch are already there along with Lloki, Arneau and Carl. They all greeted each other after 10 years. Except for social medias, they've never really seen each other.

After being invited to the reunion, they all decided to go back to the place they once lived in highschool. And now an extreme nostalgia hit them.

They all spotted Klair, Keila and Jocephine. While a little farther behind them are the five boys.

They all hugged each other, others are even teary eyed as they haven't met for a decade, "I can't believe all of us are successful now. The boys have proper jobs. Luis is a CEO now! Jayjay and Justine are working their dream in the Gaming industry, under Luis's company." Rica stated in joy.

Luis and Jayjay glance at Justine but immediately looked away.

Keila smiled, "Looks like everyone of us achieved our dreams."

Agatha looked around and was perplexed, "Where is Ria?" Just as she asked, a car pulled over at the side and the person she was trying to find, stepped out of the car. Agatha smiled, "Ria!" she called out.

Jayson and Klair suddenly shouted, "Our president is here!" they said jokingly as if they were back in high school.

Jocephine hugged her, "Hey there, Miss Psychiatrist. I miss youuu!" she stated causing Ria did not speak up immediately.

Agatha hit Jocephine with her elbow, "Shh! She didn't get to study psychiatry." she whispered behind her.

Jocephine turned to her, "But being a psychiatrist is her dream, she's definitely studying in her med school right now." she insisted. Agatha facepalmed as Jocephine said all of that with a loud voice. "O-oh... Sorry..."

Ria chuckled after seeing Jocephine's reaction. "It's fine. I didn't get to study in a med school, but I surely had fun in veterinary school." she said.

"You're a vet, now? Are you alright with that? But how about your dre—I mean.." Mitch stopped, trying to figure if her words might hurt Ria.

"Don't worry, I started to like it now. You all know I like animals." She answered, assuring them. "Well, then. What are you all waiting for?"

"Let's go."

All of them thought that it'll be a fun and happy reunion.

But they were wrong.

Very wrong.

Their high school building does not exist anymore.

It was utterly destroyed.
