Chapter 2

The group ran down the hall to find out what had happened. It was something bad, the screams said so. Lunar and Lucy stuck close to each other, as did Tao and Sayori. Harvey and Leon, however, stayed far away from each other, while trying to stay close to the other people. Lunar and Lucy stopped outside a door and looked inside. Nobody was in there, but they were close. Sayori and Tao looked in another, nothing but darkness. Harvey walked up to a door and looked inside to see what was within. He gasped in horror.

"Guys... It came from here." He said pointing to the door.

"Well, I think you should go in first. You found it, we'll head in after you." Leon said, a smirk forming on his lips. Everyone looked at him. They knew the experience would be worse since he was around, but they didn't expect him to be this bad. Harvey obliged though and opened the door. He stared at what he saw from outside of the room. There hung a pale, lifeless girl. She was called Rita, and her death made sense to everyone in the group who knew her. She didn't have many friends and her reputation wasn't great. Her hair was blonde, but it looked like it always had dirt in it. Her eyes were a sky blue, which made her look innocent. The reason for her poor reputation was because she frequently lied. The only person who had ever been there for her was Lunar.

They had been extremely close, and they even said that they loved each other. Lunar, however, felt uncomfortable once the relationship changed. They didn't speak as much and it just became awkward for her. Finally, she told Rita, who begged her to stay as her parents might be getting a divorce. Lunar's mind hadn't changed though, but she'd said they could stay friends. Rita agreed and they left it at that. The way she died made complete sense. Suicide.

"Harvey. This isn't what it looks like.." A trembling voice said. Harvey turned around. It was Zac and in his arms was a frightened and crying Marley. Harvey, looking at the situation, knew that Zac or Marley would never do this. Zac was sophisticated and wanted to make the school a better and safer place for the students. Marley, however, was a goofy and caring person. There was a downside to him though, like most people. He had something that most would describe as PTSD, but he refused to admit he had a problem. It was triggered by dangerous situations or when he was hurt and by himself, nobody knew why. Only Lunar knew, and she refused to tell anyone the reason.

"It's okay guys, you wouldn't do this..." Harvey said. He smiled to try and comfort them, but Marley didn't look up, he just stayed huddled in Zac's arms. Harvey had a look sympathy and tried to reach out and rub his back to make him feel better, but Zac looked at him and had an almost protective glare. Harvey took his message and took a couple of steps back. Lunar and Lucy were the next people to enter, followed by Leon, Sayori and Tao. Harvey knew what was about to happen.

Lunar looked up and her heart dropped, again. There was somebody whose heart she'd broken. And she was dead, hanging, limp and lifeless. Her eyes, once filled with emotion and life were now cold and empty. Lunar started to feel slightly sick and her body started shaking, violently. Her knees buckled and she fell to the ground with tear filled eyes. Lucy, being one of Lunar's friends, immediately started to try and comfort her. Marley looked up for the first time and looked at his sister in the same state he was. As much as Lucy tried to comfort Lunar with gentle reassurances, Leon's presence made Lunar feel worse. It was almost like he was taunting her, telling her that it was her fault. Lunar gave voice to her thoughts:

"It's my fault, I killed her. If I hadn't broke her heart and stayed being friends with her then she wouldn't be like this. I killed someone, Lucy. What have I done?" She kept saying things like this through tears until Marley came over and hugged her. Lucy joined in too, she knew that they would both help Lunar calm down if Lucy wasn't enough by herself. Leon, Sayori and Tao stared at the situation and the body. Sayori started to look frightful and Tao looked like he was in shock. Only Leon seemed calm and collected.

"Well, what now?" Leon said after a while. "We've found a body, we have supplies. Where do we go?" Silence filled the room. Nobody knew what to do.

"We can go to the dorms. The murderer and master mind would try and find us in the classrooms. They won't expect us to be in the dorms, will they?" Sayori said after a minute. Leon looked at her and then looked away.

"It'll have to do, I guess." He said then started walking off. Everyone looked at each other, except Lunar who was still crying. Zac said it was best to go follow him before he got hurt and everyone nodded in agreement. Lucy tried telling Lunar that they were going, but she was still whimpering and it looked like she was about to pass out. Lucy put an arm around her back and the other under her legs and picked her up. She looked so weak at that moment, despite her usual determination. Lucy nodded to tell the others to follow her. They followed, staying close to each other. They could just see Leon turning a corner to go to the dorms.

* * *

The group were faced with a door that led to a dorm. Leon went to open it, but it was locked. He kicked the door, but it didn't open. He didn't even put much force into it. He turned his head slightly.

"So who's the strongest here?" He asked. Everyone looked confused. They would have thought he would have known.

"If we can wake Lunar up, then we can..." Harvey started, but was cut off by Sayori.

"This is ridiculous! We should find a key rather than breaking the door down!" Sayori looked at him with a frown. Leon chuckled slightly.

"No need to be so feisty, Sayori. I'm just resorting to something that's quicker than wasting our time to find a key. Finding a key would only increase our chances of being found and killed." He said. Sayori continued.

"If we break the door down, there's a chance that it won't be able to lock again. Therefore, the murderer and 'master mind' would be able to get in quite easily!" She crossed her arms trying to look defensive and intimidating. The height difference between Leon and Sayori, however, made Sayori still seem weak and defenceless. Leon only laughed.

"You really think you're so smart."

"I went to a grammar school before transferring here, you've only been to a normal school."

"How do you know my previous school wasn't a grammar school?"

"Don't be such a snob, Leon."

"Um... Guys? I found a key." Tao said. The two looked at him. Sayori was satisfied and thanked him for finding the key. Leon, on the other hand, looked vexed. He stormed over to Tao and picked him up by his throat and shoved him against the wall. He had a firm grip on his throat, but it wasn't enough to strangle him. Everyone gasped and tried to break up the confrontation between them. Lucy was frozen, she couldn't do anything since Lunar was still passed out in her arms, she could only watch the scene take place.

"You imbecile! Do you not know what could have happened to you! You could have been kidnapped, killed and chopped into itty bitty pieces! Do you really want to put your life at risk like that?" Leon yelled. Tao tried to kick him away, but his legs couldn't reach Leon's body. Zac decided to get behind Leon. Once he was there, he examined which leg he was putting more force on. Since he was using his right hand, his left leg was the best bet. He put a hand on the lower area of his back and, in one swift motion, used his right leg to trip him over. Tao fell to the ground with a thump, only to be rushed to by Sayori, who started examining his throat.

"Is this really a sensible idea, Leon? To hurt someone just because they put their life at risk to make things easier? If you want to use physical violence to get a message through to someone, then it would be best if we left you behind. I'll give you one more chance, but if you punch, kick, slap, do anything physically violent toward someone, we'll tie you up, and leave you out here until the murderer and master mind find you and kill you." Zac said;the tone in his voice was frightening, and with him standing over Leon, it made his warning very clear. Leon scoffed, got up and leaned against the wall, waiting for the door to be unlocked.

Tao walked up to the door and inserted the key into the lock and opened the door. The living room and the kitchen were combined into one room and the other doors were the bedrooms and the bath room. Leon looked in all the rooms. Two beds in each room, all twin sized. He went back into the living room to find Lucy sitting next to a Lunar who was awake, but still a bit drowsy, Tao and Harvey arguing and Sayori just humming to herself. Leon clapped his hands and everyone looked at him.

"Right, we need to sort people into rooms. Lunar and Lucy have to be put in a room together since they can't be without one another. I'll be by myself. Marley and Zac, I'll only allow you two to be in a room because I know you won't get up to anything... Odd. Tao and Harvey are in a room, and no. I don't care that you two were just arguing. Sayori, you're by yourself." Lucy placed one of Lunar's arms around her shoulder and helped her get to a room. Sayori looked at Leon, with a look of sadness and fear.

"Leon... Can I at least be placed in a room with someone? I don't really like being alone in situations like this. Can I at least be placed in a room with Tao?" She said. Leon looked at her in disgust.

"It's always like this in the movies. No you cannot. Teachers have boy and girl dorms for a reason." He said, trying to sound sophisticated.

"Oh come on! You let Marley and Zac stay together, and Lunar and Lucy! I just want to be placed in a dorm with my friend!" Sayori yelled while stuttering. Tao had a look of defeat and Harvey grinned in triumph.

"You always say friend, but I think most people know what you mean by that." Leon teased. Sayori went slightly red and crossed her arms. She knew there was no changing his mind. Leon decided to change the subject, they had more important things to discuss.

"Anyway, who do we think is the murderer and who do we think the master mind is?" He asked. Everyone looked at each other in confusion.

"Come on... They're within this group. We would have come across other people if they weren't all dead. They are in this group, or one of them are."

"If you knew they were in this group why would you let them in, Leon?" Marley asked. He looked slightly annoyed.

"Simple. We vote for whoever we think the murderer and master mind are. Whoever has the most votes will be kicked out the next day, or just get rid of them in some way. During the rest of their time here, the murderer and master mind shall then kill the people who suspect it's them. There's a high chance that it'll happen." Leon said.

"And if they don't kill the people who vote for them?" Zac asked.

"Then we'll all be dead by the end of the week" Leon said.

"Can't we just call the police?" Marley asked.

"You all have so many questions... This is like a movie, there is no signal. I tried already. You can check your phones too, if you don't believe me." Leon said.

"Or it's just the fact that the power is out and the only light source is from outside or from flashlights. We are also stuck within school campus since the doors are locked." Lucy said. Before Leon could protest against Lucy's answer to say why everything was like a movie, the door knocked. Sayori ran to Tao and hugged his arm. He smiled slightly in response, but focused more on the door. Harvey went into a room, he didn't feel like dealing with this situation and would rather hide now than be seen by the murderer. Leon stayed where he was, processing the situation. Marley took the opportunity and looked through the peephole in the door.

"I'll be honest," He whispered "It doesn't look good. They're dressed in black." Everyone looked like they were panicking internally.

"Hello? Please can you let me in? I don't want to be alone, I want to survive just one day..." A voice said from the other side. It was a rustic voice, and it seemed familiar. Before Marley could look through the peep hole again, he heard some feet running towards the door. Harvey pushed him out the way and opened the door...
