Damn it, I've messed up. And majorly too. If I had known what they would do, I probably wouldn't have told them the coordinates to the tavern. The only reason Cortana wanted to capture her is because of some thousand year old grudge that everyone, including Spectre, seems to have forgotten.
My thoughts were quickly thrown away when I noticed Reyna staring at me with hurt in her eyes.
"Sirius, what was it that Spectre said to you?" she said, like she just wanted me to confirm what she already knew.
I swallowed. "S-she said something like, 'I know what you did, and I will be back.' I swear to Raziel, I didn't know It'd end like this."
"What do you mean, didn't know it'd end like this? Why did she say she knew what you did? Sirius Dardariel Arden, answer me!" Reyna's voice cut through the silence like a knife.
Dear gods, disappointed Reyna is scary Reyna.
"......imayhavetoldthegodsendswheretofindthetavern....."
"Can you repeat that, I didn't hear it?"
I took a deep breath and sighed.
"You see, I may potentially, you know, have told the Godsends where to find the tavern....."
"YOU DID WHAT!?" Reyna and Lykfilia shouted at the same time.
"I didn't what they were gonna do!"
"That's what I tried to explain, and look how that turned out." Leviathan's voice rang through the half-empty tavern, startling us all.
"Leviathan, I thought you weren't supposed to come back until tomorrow?" Lykfilia asked him.
"Oh I heard someone say the Godsends found who they'd been looking for the past decade so I thought I'd come back an confirm my suspicion. Needless to say, that suspicion has been confirmed." Leviathan spoke in a slow, calm tone.
"Okay, but what do you mean with 'that's what I tried to explain'?" Reyna temporarily turned her gaze to Levi, who was now leaning on the counter beside Lykfilia.
Leviathan sighed, and looked down at the counter.
"Sit down, this might take a while. You remember when you first came here and I lost my memories again and then went into a coma an' then I woke up and Spectre attempted suicide and went into a coma herself, after nearly murdering me?"
"Y-yeah." I said. "She said something like, 'you know who I am and what I did' or something along those lines."
"Which would indicate that you already knew who she really was, and that she killed that angel." Reyna had her 'interrogation' voice on, and she was ready to ask a thousand questions to get the answer she wanted.
"Yes, I did. She told me after she blew the top off the Scarlet Mountain of Mizeareigh when we first met." Leviathan laughed. "That was one hell of an encounter, I'll have you know that."
Reyna turned her gaze to Lykfilia.
"Did you know?"
"Hm?"
"Did you know Spectre was an angel?" Reyna asked again, rephrasing the question.
"I didn't know for sure, I kind of always assumed she was a demon like Leviathan, since she wasn't really angelic..." Lykfilia answered with an innocent tone. "I just knew she wasn't a fairy or a human, because not even the strongest human at that time, Marchosias Arden, could fight that well, and with that power. Besides, I met her in-flight." Lykfilia explained to Reyna. I figured this would take a while and I might as well sit down, so I took a seat.
"Well," Leviathan started. "I probably have to tell you the full story behind why she hates my whole existence, because she wasn't always like that. "
Reyna took a seat next to me.
"Please do tell us. It might help us figure this whole situation out." She said, and then turned her gaze back on me. "But of course, we wouldn't neccesarily be in this situation if somebody hadn't told them where the tavern was. "
"Reyna, it's not entirely Sirius's fault either, he was asked a question and he answered it. It's not in the nature of a knight to lie, and this you should know. " Leviathan's voice was sharper than usual.
"It's okay Levi, it's not like I don't deserve it. Go on." I said, making Reyna turn back to Leviathan.
"Hmm okay. Well, I best get started. It all started around two or three hundred years ago........"

I was walking the streets of Worthwood, slowly making my way back to my rendezvous point with Spectre, so she can make a portal back to the Helm. While deep in thought, I accidentally crashed into someone.
"Hey, watch where you're going!" They said.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there, I was lost in my thoughts for a second." I replied, helping them up.
"Is there anything I can do to help you?"
"No. Wait, actually, there is." They reply.
"What is it?"
"Do you by any chance know the coordinates of the White Helm? We've been looking for it for quite a while."
I froze. People knew of the tavern, but not it's location?
"It's probably hidden for a reason ya know?"
"What's your name?" they asked.
I hesitated, then answered.
"Leviathan."
"Lesauvage, eh?"
I swallowed hard and nodded, barely noticeably.
"Well, let's put it this way Lesauvage. You'll be worse off if you lie to us, than if your little friend finds out you told us the coordinates," they said, and I could see a crazed glint in their eyes. "So I would advise you to spit it out, vile demon."
I realized I didn't have much choice. If I refused, they'd expose me as a demon, and even I don't have a great chance against a market full of people. However, if I told him the coordinates, Spectre would probably slash my throat open. I didn't know exactly what he was going to do with the information, so I decided that it probably wouldn't do much if I just told him the numbers. So I did. I never realized what I did, until afterwards, and I couldn't take it back.
"I thank you, and we'll keep you off our hit list for now." they said, and turned around to walk away.
"Wait, you never told me your name! I think I have the right to know who I just told the coordinates to the Ghost Tavern!" I called after them.
"Azriel Armagan!" he called back.
Azriel huh. He didn't seem like an angel though.
I hurried back to the rendezvous, and when I got there, Spectre was already there, waiting for me.
"What on earth took you so long?" She asked me.
"Uhh I got caught up in something." I replied quickly.
"Oh well, it doesn't matter all that much." Spectre folded her wings and shoved me through the portal, stepping through behind me.
When we got back to the tavern, Spectre went into the storage room with the supplies, leaving me in the main to think about what just happened.

After dinner I went straight to my room and collapsed on the bed. I was incredibly tired and probably drunk, I don't exactly remember. But what I do remember, is that when I went downstairs to get a glass of water, all I saw was scorch marks on the walls and a couple of bloody feathers on the floor.
I remember thinking about that, since I thought it was unlikely that something happened. I realized, maybe Spectre murdered a chicken for lunch or something. So I brushed it off.
When Spectre still hadn't shown up by nightfall I started to wonder where she could be.
____________
A few days later, Spectre still hadn't come back. The tavern's business had gone normally, only a few wanderers in, but no sign of the co-owner.
Until that evening, that is.
I was finishing up in the kitchen, putting glasses back on the shelves and stuff, when the door was slammed open.
I went out to the counter to tell them we were closed, but instead I was met with shock.
"Spectre? Oh my lord, what happened to you?" I asked as I took in her appearance. She had a deep cut across her face, going from the left cheek over the nose and stopping right under the eye. She was bleeding, pretty much everywhere, and she looked like she was on the verge of collapsing right there.
I rushed from behind the counter to help her, but she stepped back from me, and muttered something inaudible.
"Come again?"
"I said, stay away from me you son of a bitch." She snapped at me.
"W-what?"
"This is entirely your fault and you know what you did."
I stood there, confused for a second, and then it hit me. The angel. He must've told the others where to find the tavern and therefore they found who they where looking for since she fell; Spectre.
"Spectre, would you just let me explain-"
"I don't need an explanation, I need and answer! Why did you tell them?!" She shouted at me, coughing up blood in the process.
"Because my other option was to be exposed as a demon and murdered by townspeople! Certain death, or chance of certain death, the choice isn't really a choice!"
"I understand that perfectly, but you could have escaped them easily Levi, you are a demon after all!"
"Spectre, I-"
She walked past me, headig for the kitchen. As she did, I noticed the two large cuts in the back of her vest. Were those...? They couldn't be....could they?
"Spectre.....what happened to your back?" I asked her with concern.
"Nothing that concerns you, demon." She replied coldly.
"No, really-"
"Fine! Your innocent little answer got my wings cut off, resulting me in losing my grace! Thanks to you, I have no hope of ever becoming who I used to be again!" Spectre's words cut through my mind and I froze.
"Get out Lesauvage."
"What?" I said, confused.
"Get out Lesauvage, and make sure I never see you until you're dead!" She shouted at me.
I'd never even seen Spectre get this mad, I didn't know it was possible.
When I froze, she decided to give me a jump-start by throwing an electro-charged kitchen knife at me with deadly accuracy.

"And that was the last time I saw her. She moved the tavern from Wintermount to here, and I never found her. Until now, of course."
Leviathan's voice sounded broken and kind of sad.
"Wow." Reyna said. "So she was a winged angel, huh? I would've thought she had a halo, it just seemed more likely."
Lykfilia went over to Leviathan and gave him a light hug, as the story seemed to have affected her the most. Why, I don't know.
I took a deep breath.
"This is going to sound crazy," I started, standing up. "But I might have a way to get her out of the Godsends headquarters."
"You're right." Leviathan smiled. "That sounds crazy, and she'll probably kill you afterwards. Let's hear that plan, shall we?"
