Chapter Nine

It was now dinner time, Aria and Jackson invited us to stay and eat there. I and Emily had passed the last hour begging for Taeo's approval. He finally accepted and called Mark for him to come too. We didn't want to leave him alone at home.

We all sat at the dining table except Aria, who was cooking, and Mark, who was still on his way. After a few minutes of conversation, we heard a knock on the door. Emily being herself ran to the door, like it was her house, and let Mark in.

"Hi, I am Jackson," he said introducing himself to Mark.

"Hello, my name is Mark," Answered him, my cheerful friend.

He then sat beside Emily and we continued speaking.

"So you went to The Sommet high school too?" asked Mark surprised.

"Of course I did I was captain of the football team." said my coworker proudly.

"Whoa that is amazing I didn't know you were a sports guy," I told him.

"Oh, there's a lot of things you don't know about me cutie," Jackson answered me playfully.

"Ouch!" screamed Jackson soon after his first sentence ended.

We all turned to look at Taeo, who just started laughing awkwardly.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

"Ah yes don't worry bunny," he answered me.

I was confused by the nickname he gave me, my checks even redded for an unknown reason but I just decided to ignore it.

"Bunny?"

Before he could explain, Aria came into the dining room putting plates full of good-looking and good-smelling food.

"It's ready!" She said cheerfully.

"Oh hi, you must be Mark, right? I'm Aria, hope you'll like my food. I am not the best cook so if you don't like it we can just order pizza. Wait am I talking too much? I'm sorry if I am I'll just stop talking now." Aria said without taking a single breath, it almost sounded like some gibberish.

On his side, Mark, a very cheerful person himself, understood her very well and immediately responded to her.

"Oh it's okay don't worry, and yes I am Mark. It's a pleasure to meet you Aria, and don't worry your food looks really good," he replied while smiling.

Aria just smiled at him and sat beside her brother. With the table being set earlier we had all that we need to eat, we started eating dinner while goofing around a little.

"When I and Aria were kids she used to run around in the house always naked," Jackson said while laughing,

"Our mother used to run after her all the time. She was quite a hard kid when she was young she had way too much energy for our poor mom."

An embarrassed Aria immediately answered her brother as soon as he was done speaking.

"Hey, at least I wasn't a brat like you! You were the hard kid of the family."

We all laugh while the two siblings continued arguing. It was now Emily's turn to speak about her childhood.

"The beginning of our childhood was pretty normal I guess. I and Taeo were always very close and he had taught me everything that I know. We had a lot of sad moments like we had a lot of happy moments.

We once decided to go camping when I was around 14 years old. So we packed all our bags and drove to the nearest camping site. We stayed there for about a week, but Taeo went to get some water on our last day since we were out.

Since it was taking him a while I decided to go check on him and when I got there I saw that he was flirting with a girl so I decided to scare him. And that idiot fell off a rock and went straight into the water. I laughed so much at this and the girl just left." She said while laughing a lot at the end of her story.

We all laughed too. Everyone then turned at me and I smiled remembering the rare good moments I had in my childhood.

"As for my childhood, it was pretty boring I guess? Although I and my sister once wanted a dog, our father being himself did not allow us to have one. We then send our butler to buy one for us and wrote a false letter of my father agreeing, my father was so mad after that but at least we could keep the dog. Although he sold it a few months after because it barked too much for his liking..." I laughed a little bit remembering my father's look on his face.

"Wait did you say butler?" asked Emily.

Wait what do I answer? I guess it's time for me to tell them the truth they won't turn me in right?

"Umm well about that I need to tell you guys something," I said nervously.

Taeo then gave me a reassuring smile before I spoke.

"Hey don't worry you can trust us okay. That way we will help you get your sister okay?"

The others looked at him confused but I just decided to go on with my explanations.

"Okay thank you Taeo, I come from a very powerful family, the most powerful in our country. I am Kim Lidstone, as you guys already know, princess of the Rose palace. The next queen to be."

"Wait that is why these guys were looking for you?! You are on a Runaway!" said Jackson.

The other just stood shook not knowing what to say.

"Yes, I ran away from home because I didn't want to marry prince Jake Lombard. But I've made a big error and now I need to return there and go get my sister, Julia Lidstone."

"We will help you," said Mark confidently.

"We are all here for you," said Emily too.

"We have your back," Jackson said.

"Let's save your sister," said Aria.

"I've told you, we will all help you," said Taeo with a smug.

I smiled at all their reaction, I guess it went better than expected.
