On getting home after a long day, I received a text from our school management.
Dear DLC Gang, I wish to inform you that, you will be performing a gig at our annual graduation ceremony this fall, coming up on the 27th July, 2019.
Other information will be communicated through the school's server or your email.
The management.
Beaver's High.
Work! And more work!. I thought.
I forwarded the message to Lily and Cam to save my self from stress.
It was already 4:30pm, I had to freshen up and prepare my dinner. My Mom wouldn't be home till late night and my Dad was out of town for the next couple of days, New York was always busy.
I found frozen dinner In the freezer but wasn't interested, so I prepared cheese and toast bread, with some orange juice and boiled egg for my calory intake.
By the time I was through with everything it was already five minutes to 6pm, and Lily had starting calling, I picked on the second ring because I didn't want my phone to blow up.
"Hey, girlfriend!" I spoke immediately I picked the call.
"Hope you are coming Dee, because I'm pulling up at your house like right now." Lily spoke like real fast, I thought she'd bite her tongue, I'd love it though.
"Blah blah! Whatevs I'm ready."
"Well... Get out here peanut." She blared her horn, I could hear it through the phone and outside my house.
Gosh! Classic Lily.
I ended the call grabbed my purse and headed out Immediately else that Blondie was gonna burst my ear drum.
Coming outta my house, I met a grinning girl in a convertible, staring at me with those crafty eyes of hers.
"Yoo!" She exclaimed.
I smiled and got in, we zoomed out.

"Nice outing Lil, catch you tomorrow, hope you saw my text, we'll talk about it tomorrow in school over lunch."
I came out and slammed the car door shut.
"Bye sweetie." She said and winked as I watched her car disappear around the corner.
God, my stomach was in a turmoil. Hungry?? No I wasn't hungry!. Lily's driving almost sent me to hell. Damn!!! She loved speed.
I settled in and decided to check my social media. Randy Bunette was my celebrity crush, he was a superstar, a surfer, he had the body of a Greek God, jeez! He was damn gorgeous. Every teenage girl at New York loved him. I mean he was the definition of something far beyond extraordinary or divine. He's a famous brand influencer, and he's seventeen.
While checking his Instagram profile, I saw a poster, it was about the event being hosted by Demetrius Smith and guess what??!!...He was the... special guest of honor!!... Jeez could my day get any better.
I started to imagine meeting my favorite celebrity, performing a gig in front of him, Oh My Gosh!, I squealed delighted.
Oh well I gotta start working my lyrics for the school graduation party and my biggest turn gig next month. Wow! Time was moving real fast.

The next day was a Saturday, Lily and Cam were coming over by noon, to start working our lyrics and practicing our gig.
I woke quite early to begin my chores and prepare myself. I was done with eating, doing chores and finally went to have my bath.
I began work on my hair to avoid having a messy-lasy-saturday-look. My brown hair was long and tangled at the end, so it was really hard to comb and style under few minutes.
Ding dong.
The door bell rang, I quickly checked the time 11:07am, why so early!. I thought.
Anyways I went down to open the door with my half combed half tangled wavy hair.
I opened the door without asking who's there because I was already expecting my best friends.
I froze immediately I saw the nice handsome smiling face with his honey colored hair and bright grey eyes gazing at me.
"..." I opened my mouth to talk but couldn't find the words.
"Hey Dami." He said as he raked his fingers though his hair.
My cheeks were immediately flushed, I was somewhat mortified but then I smiled and motioned to him that he could come in.
He seemed amused as he entered, so he spun around and smirked at me, funny how he resembled Randy though.
Anyways now wasn't time for fantasy. I offered him a sit and then I broke the wedging silence.
"Well...??" I asked with a rather puzzled look and a raised brow.
He cleared his throat and spoke finally, his masculine deep voice filling the atmosphere around us.
