Magic Lessons 3

Just as Adrastea finished speaking, they slowed their speed even further before the pod began descending into the city. Soon they were a flight path that several pods were using as they passed by several skyscrapers each different from the others in terms of design.

<> Pan's voice began giving a short description of the City. Soon they entered a part of the city with rather intimidating buildings.

<>

They silently moved around the city as Pan gave a brief information of the various Sectors until they returned back to the Administration Sector.

"Pan, take us to the Tech Sector."

<>

They continued with their current traffic until they reached what Ray thought was an intersection before the pod changed direction and they were now cruising away from the Administration Sector.

Within five minutes, the AI announced their arrival in the Technology Sector and Raymond had another mind-blowing experience. While the buildings in the Administration Sector looked grand and imposing this Sector looked stylish and each uniquely designed. Majority of them were covered in glass and came in all shapes and sizes.

Adrastea turned to the 3D hologram and zoomed the map with her hands before pointing at a particular building. The marked building highlighted in green.

One minute later they slowed down even further as they approached a particular skyscraper that resembled the one on the hologram. The building had a broad base, a narrow midsection and finally a wide top.

What caught his attention was the midsection of the building had a large opening, and he could see several pods parked on a flat landing zone as they approached it. Their pod slowly descended on the landing zone as it picked an empty space before landing. The sliding door once again opened and Adrastea rose and alighted, and Ray followed.

They went across the landing zone, and Raymond immediately spotted two guards at the entrance of the building. They took a quick glance at them; Ray almost swore he saw them sniff the air. They entered the lobby where a pretty brunette smiled at them.

"Good afternoon, welcome to Tech-X, would you like some assistance?"

"Afternoon to you too. We're fine, thank you." Adrastea replied as she went past her towards one of the elevators that just opened and several people walked out.

"Where are we headed?" Ray asked her.

"To an old friend. Hand me your phone."

Raymond reached out for his phone and handed it to her before the elevator doors slid open, and they exited. Inside the floor, there was another lobby with fewer people and several workplaces. Adrastea went to one of the offices where the doors automatically slid open, and they went in.

Inside there was a woman seated in front of a holographic display but immediately swept it to the side and turned to look them with a broad smile.

"I don't believe it, you're still alive?" The woman squealed as she rose to her feet.

Ray got the chance to see her body. She was taller than him and quite muscled, as she went around her desk to give Adrastea a big hug; easily sweeping her off her feet. Adrastea protested as the buxom beauty twirled her around like a little princess, making Raymond chuckle.

"It's good to see you too. You can put me down now."

The large woman grinned and put her down gently. "Wherein Hades have you been. You just up and disappeared without a word?"

"I was on an assignment."

The woman suddenly glanced at Ray as if she just saw him for the first time since they came in. "I'm guessing he's the assignment. He looks yummy." She said while eyeing Raymond hungrily.

Raymond couldn't help but blush as he extended his hand to her, but she instead pulled him in for a bearhug. Her massive bust squished against his chest and he let out a groan as the hug lingered for far too long.

"You can let the poor man go now."

The woman grinned and licked her lips. "What is he, couldn't quite place his scent?"

"A Demi."

"Wow!" She turned back and gave Ray a second sweep before turning to Adrastea. "Never met one before. Do they all come in his shape and size? Wouldn't mind one in my bed. It's been a few lonely years." She turned to Raymond and eyed him again.

Ray's face was by now beet red as he tried looking at anything but her. It didn't help either, feeling a little tightness in his trunks. He just hoped neither of them spotted it.

"Oh, he's an endangered breed. They are extremely rare these days."

"Tell me about, ever since that libidinous bastard was murdered, their numbers dropped drastically. Anyway, guys have a seat. There's lots of catching up to do."

Over the next ten minutes, the two women chatted animatedly, and Raymond quickly found himself bored to death. Adrastea as if reading Ray's mind, gave his phone to the woman who glanced it in recognition and promptly left the office with it.

"Where did she go?" Ray asked.

"She went to add a few useful software. It's a simple way to make your phone untraceable. She is my go-to friend when I have assignments on the Surface World."

"Do you mind telling me what she is?"

Adrastea grinned, "she's a Minotaur. Don't worry this one's a lover, not a fighter." She added after seeing Ray wince at the mention of a minotaur.

Ten minutes later they were out of her office with Adrastea promising her she will visit her so they could catch up over lost years and they were back in the pod.

"Olympus University."

The female mechanical voice acknowledged, and they lifted off the landing zone.

...

Ray and Adrastea sat at the back of a lecture hall. There was close to a hundred students already seated and a few last-minute ones rushed in and took the remaining seats.

Each one of them took out glass designed pads that immediately lit up to their touch. Some of them grabbed what would appear to be a digital pen before looking forward expectantly.

Five minutes later a fairly tall woman waltzed through the doors and proceeded to set up her materials. She turned to face the crowd and Ray got his second astonishing glimpse of her.

"Afternoon?"

The whole class greeted her back as she swept from one end to the other.

"I see the class is getting bigger each year. All of you might have heard of me, most of you might have even seen me. For those of you who do not know me, I'm Athena. I'll be teaching you Esoteric Planes of Existence.

"You've all learn about Planes of existence back in your lower levels. At this level, we will dig deeper..." She paused, and suddenly her eye rapidly wandered the room and settled on Raymond for a split second before she turned her gaze towards her own pad.

"... but before we begin, a brief recapture of what you learned at you lower levels. How many planes are there?"

"Five," one student spoke.

"Namely?"

"Physical Plane," one replied.

"Spirit," another one spoke.

"Astral."

"Dream."

"Ethereal Plane,"

"Correct. We're going to look at each one of the Planes, their significance, their involvement and interaction with each other and how they can each be accessed."

"Shit!"
