Chapter 25: Befriend Lilith?

It's been weeks that I haven't talk with Lilith. I glanced around and saw Lilith laughing with some guy, a friend maybe?

"Girl, what's wrong? You seem staring at that trash girl. You want to befriend her?" Lindsay asked as she placed her food in front of her table. I paused because of the question, do i want to befriend Lilith again? I shake my head slightly and eat my lunch. "Nothing, I didn't look at them and no, I don't want to befriend her."

"Come on, girl. You can't fool us" Aslyn said as she sips on her tea. "Yeah, you can't fool us. Just don't look at them, they are not worthy to be looked at…" Lindsay said as she looked at where Lilith was seated, I also look at Lilith in the distance, "besides, she is hanging out with that nerd"

Lindsay glance at me and sips her StarBucks strawberry drink, " Anyway, we will be having a party"

"P-Party?"

"Yes! We will be having a party next week at Xamantha's place" Aslyn smiled and looked at me, "And we will be inviting the hotties"

"And especially Evans"

"Evans?" I questioned.

"Yeah, Evans. That guy who just transferred and is soooo hot. We should check them out later, they'll be playing soccer at the school field" I smiled slightly, "Sorry, guys but... I have to study."

Lindsay rolled her eyes on me, "Eurg! Study? Girl, I got your back. You don't have to study. By the way, pick your most fab outfit for Xamantha's party next week"

"But... I don't have any fa-" Aslyn cut my sentence off, "Don't worry, I'll pick your outfit" and winked at me. I shot her a smile. I look each one of them while they are busy chattering.

I'm not like these girls—not even one bit. But after Lilith questioned me on how the heck I am her best friend, I can't take it. Lilith used to go to the things that I don't like. Ever since we were kids, she pulled pranks on me and sometimes throw insults that for her—it was a fact.

Lilith apologizes and to me, she is my best friend that I liked. She did helped me once stood up against bullies. I remember how I was sexually harassed on the classroom and glad Lilith was on my side and report it to the principal. If she wasn't with me that time, I would probably remain silent. I just don't want to cause trouble. Lilith is opposite, she is afraid of anyone. I don't really know why Lilith sometimes throw insults at me. It made me feel like... Am I really her best friend? But to be honest.. I want to befriend Lilith again. She is just sometimes.. straight and won't sugarcoat.

I took a glance on Lilith and she saw me looking at her. I avoided my gaze by looking at my new friends who are different from me but I'm glad I blended in.

"By the way, I like the way you put that eyeliner, girl!" Lindsay said as she noticed my eyeliner. I smiled and flipped my light browned hair. From wearing black rimmed glasses and boring outfit to wearing minimal makeup and pretty outfits—I can tell how I hugely changed. I don't know when did I change, my attitude, outfits. It just happened after having a fight with Lily.

"I remember how we first met when we bumped each other, girl. You are sooooo beautiful and we were like.. damn, this girl will be our friend" Lindsay said as she plays her hair.

"Yeah and you even said sorry" Aslyn added.

"I just—" Xamantha cut my sentence off. "Nerds who would bumped us should say sorry but you, you aren't a nerd so...its fine. You are one of us anyway"

I gave them a slight smile as they continue eating, "Girl, hurry up! Eat that and will be going to see Evans at the school field after classes." I nodded and eat my lunch. I looked at Lilith and they were gone.

The orange skies and Ivy is with her friends, looking at Evans playing in the school field. The dark browned haired guy that is drenched in sweat as he plays along with the team. Ivy wants to go home and study but couldn't because of her new friends. Evans suddenly looked at their way and smiled.

"Ohhhh, did you see that, girl? His smile is to die for" Xamantha said as she fan herself. Lindsay fan herself too as she replied, "I know righttt, girl"

Ivy is the only girl on the group that is simply watching the team played. Ivy and Evan's eyes meet, he wink at her. Ivy avoided his gaze. The sudden squeal made Ivy jolt and made her looked at her friends.

"Ohh, guys! He winked at me", Aslyn exclaimed.

"No, I guess, he winked at me" Xamantha protests.

"He winked at me and not you girls", Lindsay claimed.

The three girls is still watching Evans plays. Evan heard his coach in the corner, yelling as he the whistle blows. A minute break. Evans took off his sweat drenched jersey, showcasing his abs as the sweats trickles in his body. All the girls stared at Evans expect for Ivy. Evans went to the bench where all the bags were put, he grabbed his water bottle and drink. The girls squealed as Evans went to their direction. Ivy saw Evans and made a sudden excuse that she should go home since her father is looking for her. She quickly grabbed her bag and things as she went her way off. The girls ignored Ivy's farewell and let her be since their eyes were fixed to Evan. Ivy runs and Evan was about to chase her when the girls blocked his way.

"Don't come near me… " Ivy muttered under her breath as she runs.
