Chapter 27: Unsolved Case: Felicia (part 2)

"It could make you wonder why it was solved when it's still unsolved", Louie nodded as he eats his sandwich and is reading a book. He swallowed his sandwich and looked at me, "Yesterday almost made me had an heart attack"

I laughed, "Same. Honestly, I was in panic. Panic that the police might found me. Compared to you, mine is worse." Louie shook his head of disagreement. "I disagree, I am a person who doesn't have any experience to that, lily"

"Same, Louie"

"Really? I almost think that you have experience in stealing or some dangerous stuff" I laughed at Louie's remark.

"Oh really? If I have the experience, Louie. I'm already rich now since I know how to steal. I can rob in the bank if I'm that good."

"Remind me of Money Heist" Louie said as he munched of his sandwich. "You watched that show? Well, I didn't finish watching the seasons" I said as I drink my soda. Louie and I looked at the school field from the rooftop. It was a quiet, gloomy day.

"I didn't finish watching it because I'm busy studying", Louie answered. I laid back and looked at the photo that I took last night.

I know you are still unsolved, Felicia...but why would the police officer said it is solved.

"We should eat lunch, lily", I look at the time and shove it back on my pocket. As we arrived at the cafeteria, a lot of students were eating and chattering. I quietly ate my food and think about Felicia's case. It really makes me wonder why the police officer told me that I don't need to solve it. I even researched about Felicia and saw a few posts about her that her case is still unsolved. Some parts of the media is saying it is solved, but some were saying it is unsolved. Interrupting myself of my thoughts, I fished my phone out and started to browse on my Facebook. I stop scrolling and elbowed Louie.

"Hey, Lindsay is inviting everyone to come to Xamantha's party." I said as Louie glance on my phone, a party? I looked at the direction where Ivy and her friends were sitting. To their party? Sure, Ivy don't like parties, but because of her friends, maybe she is influenced. I hate her friends but… I miss going to parties. Just like in the city, I usually go to parties to my friend's house. I looked back on Louie, "We should go"

"Oh comeeee on, lily. I'm no-." He said, giving me a hesitant look.

I gave him a plain look, "Joinnnnn, Louie"

He shook his head and eat his food. "Oh come on, Louie. Maybe on that party… we can find a new acquaintance to help us out. Come onnn, we should chill first." Before Louie can speak, the blond friend girl of Ivy stood up in her table--- Lindsay.

"Atttentionnn, everyoneeee. You are all invited to Xamantha's partyyyy next week. Monday, 11 pm." A lot of students looked at her, standing in their table.

"And you should definitely come, Evan" she said and students looked at the direction who is she talking to. I didn't bother to look since I know it's some typical "hot" guy that everyone likes. I looked at Lindsay and her friends, they're all squealing but expect of Ivy.

"You should come Evans, okay? Anyway, chaw chaw offff" Lindsay said as she turned off her megaphone and sits with Ivy. I sigh and looked at Louie, his eyes that telling me that we shouldn't go to the party.

"Okay, we will go." I said as I stood up, grabbed my sandwich and went out to the cafeteria. Louie was left open-mouthed.

The sound of the chalk being used as the teacher scribbles against the blackboard. The sound of pencils as my classmates write it on their papers. I only stared on my paper and didn't mind answering. I look at my side and Ivy wasn't there, she isn't my seatmate anymore. She switched to another seat. I look at Ivy, who is busy answering. I miss my best friend.

"Miss Barkley" My thoughts is interrupted when the teacher is clearing her throat, Mrs. Harper. I look at Mrs. Harper that is already crossing her arms, "I see that your eyes is wandering around. I said to mind your own paper, right.?"

"Yeah" I said as I sit straightly and look at my paper and recklessly answer it. I actually didn't study because I'm busy about Felicia's case. Oh, come on! Don't tell me ever in your life you didn't recklessly answer a test? When you are too much stressed but you just felt like I'm tired? Awesome if you didn't felt once like me. I rubbed my face out of frustration.

"Are you done, Miss Barkley?" Mrs. Harper asked as she went to my seat. I nodded and gave her my paper. "You may take your leave now" Mrs. Harper said as she went back in front of the class.

I grabbed my bag and went out. The empty hallway and the afternoon light that shun on the window, I notice posters that is pinned in the board on the side of the hallway. I walked and look at the poster closely.

"When the Shadows Lurks the musical"

Its red dripping fonts already has a horror theme on to it. A girl that is being chased by a shadow and above it is a man with a flashlight is on the poster, it's like a horror with a bit of mystery thriller. I look at the date below, tomorrow. The musical play will be at the auditorium.

Interesting.
