Yrrah could hear some murmurs as she opened her eyes slowly in an unfamiliar place. Worried faces of her friends surrounded her.

"Besti, are you okay now?" her best friend asked.

She recognized their tent as she scanned the concerned faces of them.

"What happened?" she asked.

"Don't you remember anything, gurl?" Barbie asked in his trying-hard girly voice, "We were just walking to the cliff to watch the sunrise. Then, you suddenly complain about having a headache and you started yelling... Mommy, no! Mommy!" Barbie even re-enactment Yrrah's gestured and try to copy her voice. "You were hysterical, gurlush, and then you passed out," he said.

Yrrah tried to remember what Barbie had just said. She couldn't recollect anything. Why did she call out for her mom? She was pretty young when her mother died and she couldn't even remember anything about her except for the old pictures of hers.

"What happened to your mother?" Princess asked her with a worried expression.

"She died when I was around nine years old of the car accident, that's what my dad told me," she replied, "Can we go back home now?" she asked the rest of their friends.

HER FRIENDS asked her if they could stay for a few more days in their house since it's still summer vacation. She didn't mind at all. She's even happier to have them rather than be alone.

When they got home, she asked her yaya about her mom's death and the dreams that bothered her.

"Yaya, do you remember how mommy had a car accident?" she started.

Yrrah caught Manang Fe in the kitchen. The older lady asked their other maids to prepare snacks for her friends.

Manang Fe looked at her with confusion. "Why are you asking all of the sudden?" her yaya replied using a question as well.

"I just want to know the whole story. Dad never mentioned it and I couldn't remember anything," she said.

Her yaya heaved a deep sigh before looking at her intently. "I was on vacation when your mommy died. So, I didn't know how it exactly happens. I came back as soon as I heard about it. You had an accident, too. You were in the car with her. You were comatose for two weeks and when you woke up. You couldn't remember anything and anyone including me, your dad, your mom and –"

She cut her off. "I had amnesia? Why didn't my dad tell me about it? Did I ever see a doctor?"

"Yes. The doctor said it might be permanent or it will come back on time. You were still very young. You were a very sweet, enthusiastic, and polite girl. After your accident, you changed. You became ill-tempered, hot-headed as if you're angry in the whole world. Your dad decided to have you to be home-schooled as you were always in trouble in school. He gave you everything that you like. He became overly protective of you," her yaya said.

"I had some dreams, Yaya. I don't know if it ever happens in reality or merely a nonsense dream. Did I ever call someone kuya? Do you know if I have a brother or a half-brother maybe?" she inquired.

"Half-brother? Dios mio! None at all. You're their only child. But you were calling someone kuya before the accident," she said and paused. A ghost of a smile flashed into her thin lips.

"Who?" she asked impatiently.

"Your husband Zacharry. You were too closed when you were kids. Your parents were best friends, too. That's why I was not worried when your father put it in his will. I thought your marriage was going to work-out. It saddens me to know that you're going to divorce." She saw how her yaya's face turned into lifeless. "Oh, speaking of divorce, I received a letter from your lawyer yesterday. Wait, I'm going to get it." The older maiden left her and went to its room.

When her yaya came back, she handed her a white sealed envelope. Yrrah opened it and read the letter. It's the official divorced document and the separation of their properties. The processing might be so quick as they signed the document a few months ago with mutual agreement.

Her chest felt so heavy as if a ton of weights were placed on top of it. She smiled bitterly. "We're finally divorced, Yaya," she said. She almost choked as she was holding her tears to fall. She bit her lower lips to suppress it.

"Anak, didn't you fall in love with your husband for real?" her yaya asked.

"N-no, Yaya. He was as cold as an iceberg and he's only after dad's money," she replied fiercely.

Her yaya wanted to contest her statement about Zach but then, she ran to her room. She locked the door and lied down to her bed hugging her pillows. She let go of her tears. She thought that she'd accepted this hurtful truth already. But now that it's finally official, her heartfelt as if it'd been cut into millions of tiny pieces.

"THANKS to our host for accommodating us in her mansion! Cheers for Bestie!" Neisha excitedly yelled and lifted her champagne glass for a toss.

"Cheers!" Yrrah's friends said in unison and the click of tossing glass blended in the louder music that's filling their backyard. They sipped the champagne on their glasses.

"You are all welcome here in my humble domain, for always!" she yelled after she drank her champagne.

It's her friends last night at her house. They were having a swimming party. They're going back to Manila tomorrow. For a week, they're always having a party whether at home or in the bar.

Yrrah grabbed the tequila bottle and poured some on her shot glass and emptied it. She sipped a piece of lemon and licked the salt on the back of her palm. She poured it again and did the same consecutively. She's even swaying her body to the boisterous music.

"Hey, easy! You're going to be drunk so early," Aeron approached her. He grabbed the tequila bottle from her and placed it on the table. "Let's just dance."

He held her hands and started to move his body to the rhythm of the loud music. Yrrah did the same. They were dancing sexily and their almost naked body was touching as Aeron was just wearing a swimming trunk and Yrrah's on her two-piece. Aeron moved to her back whilst holding her tiny waistline. She could feel his hard member on her back as they swaying in sync. He moved in front of her, his arms wrapped around her waist and her arms snaked around his neck. They're just a couple of inches away as their eyes locked. He tilted his head closer to kiss her.

"Hey, lovebirds, go for a swim!" Barbie pushed them to the pool.

Yrrah screamed and the cold water of the pool made her sober. She swam to the side. Aeron chuckled though he's quite pissed to Barbie for breaking the moment. He swam closer to Yrrah again and about to wrap her once again.

"No. No touch, please." She lifted her hands in front of her chest whilst shaking her head. She raised herself from the pool, grabbed her towel, and told her friends that she's going to take a rest. She walked inside and Barbie followed her.

"Hey, gurlush! Sorry... I didn't mean to ruin your mood," he said apologetically.

Yrrah faced him with a small smile. "Nothing to worry. I should thank you. I almost lost myself there," she admitted.

Barbie looked at her intently, trying to read her. "Don't you like Aeron as well?"

"I'm not into flings," she simply replied and proceeded inside.

A ghost of contented smile flashed on Barbie's lips. He also approached Aeron, who's now drinking wine. He also apologized to him.

"Yah knows, my friend is not into you. She's just drunk," Barbie told him.

Aeron guzzled the wine in his glass and frowned. "I'll make her fall. I'm going to court her."

"Good luck to you, Couz!" Princess said who overheard them, "She's quite a snobbish to her suitor," she added.

The group continued to party while Yrrah stayed in her room. She was browsing the stolen pictures of her ex-husband on her phone. She used to take pictures of him when he's sleeping, in the kitchen, or as long as he's not looking. They have very few pictures together.

"What are you doing now, Zach? Are you happy now? Here I am still devastated and I almost kiss another man. I felt guilty as if I'm being unfaithful to you. Should I admit that I fall for you? What will you do then? No. My pride is the only thing that's was left with me. I shouldn't feel guilty. We're already divorced, remember. I am single again and I must move-on. To do that, I must delete you in my system. So, goodbye, ex-hubby!" She selected all his pictures and pressed the delete button.

She stared blankly on her phone with a glistening eye then, tears flowed freely on the smoothness of her cheeks.
