The Richman - Old Friend

Today Christabell made an appointment with her obstetrician. At first, Richard had intended to escort her, but suddenly he received a call from the office that there was a problem that needed to be dealt with immediately. Richard was forced to give up Christabell to check her womb alone to the hospital and only accompanied by a driver.

"I'm fine, just go." That's what Christabell said before Richard left her.

"I'll postpone the appointment with the doctor, after the problem at the office is over I'll take you." Richard did not seem to have the heart to send his own wife to the hospital.

"I've already made an appointment, and I don't want my doctor to wait." Christabell rubbed her husband's face and gave him a gentle look. "Besides, I can't wait to see my baby from the ultrasound monitor." Christabell continued his sentence.

Richard kissed his wife's forehead, then rubbed Christabell's belly, "Send my regards to her." Richard really can't wait to become a father, especially after Christabell's belly is growing as her pregnancy grows.

"Of course," Christabell replied.

Even now ultrasound examinations are able to image a baby in the womb in five dimensions, allowing parents to see what their prospective baby looks like. That made Richard not willing to let go of his wife to have his own womb checked, he also wanted to be able to see the development of his baby.

In the end, Richard left Christabell and headed for his office. Meanwhile, after her husband's departure, Christabell and her driver left the house for the hospital. The journey to the hospital was very smooth and they arrived at the hospital parking area.

The driver opened the door for Christabell and closely escorted his boss's wife. In accordance with Richard's orders that he should not let his guard down on Christabell. The safety of mother and baby was in the hands of the driver, and Richard would be furious if something bad happened to his wife. Because of that, the driver really didn't let Christabell out of his sight for even a second.

Christabell stopped in front of the examination room, there was no queue because Christabell was a VVIP patient at the maternity hospital. "You can wait here, I'll go in myself," Christabell said to the driver.

"Yes, mam." The driver replied understandably.

Christabell knocked on the door and the doctor greeted him with a big smile as soon as Christabell opened the door and walked into his doctor's office. "Good morning Mrs. Anthony," said Doctor Jane kindly.

"Good morning," Bell replied with a happy smile.

Doctor Jane seemed to be looking around for Richard, the man was usually the most enthusiastic whenever they came to check on Christabell's pregnancy. It was a little strange that Christabell came alone today, at least that was what Doctor Jane thought. "You came alone?" He asked curiously.

Christabell took the seat opposite the doctor and smiled, "With my driver." Christabell said quickly.

Doctor Jane smiled. "Oh, Mr. Anthony finally got his anxiety under control." He said. "At least letting you come alone means that your husband's anxiety about the pregnancy can be brought under control."

Christabell smiled broadly. "He's probably very busy today, before I got to the hospital I texted him not to worry about me."

"All right, let's meet our little baby today." Doctor Jane asked Bell to start lying down and continued with the standard series of tests for pregnancy.

Meanwhile in his office, Richard looked out of the meeting room and hurriedly walked into his room, checking the text messages that came in on his cellphone.

"It's a shame I'm in the hospital, you don't have to follow. The check-up will be quick and I'll be home as soon as it's done." Richard saw when the short message was sent, about ten minutes ago. She tried to reach Christabell but was not answered.

Richard looked at the screen of his cell phone then called the bell driver. "Hello." Rich opened his voice.

The driver's voice was heard on the other side, "Yes sir." Answer the standby driver.

"Have you two reached the hospital? Where is my wife?"

"I am waiting outside the room sir, Mrs. Anthony is at the doctor's examination."

"Ok, take care of him carefully. Don't let him go without your supervision."

"Yes sir."

Richard hung up on the driver then left a voicemail message with Christabell. "Call me when you're done." Richard put his cell phone on the table while he busied himself with his pile of selfish work, wanting Rich's full attention.

On the way home, Bell deliberately invited the driver to stop by a pastry supply outlet.

"I'll buy some cookies, it won't take long. Just wait in the car." Bell said, but the driver tried to refuse.

"Tell me what you want, I'll buy it for you. You'd better stay in the car." The driver tried to convince Christabell.

Christabell rolled her eyes. "I'm pregnant, and I don't want to be in a bad mood about having to negotiate with you. Wait in the car and I'll keep this our secret. My husband won't know, and once I find what I want, we'll go home." Christabell's promise and left the driver completely unable to move.

Bell quickly got out of the car and got into the counter and stood in line. The fragrant aroma of butter made Christabell eager to enjoy a few muffins. The driver watched from behind a wide glass wall, making sure Christabell was under surveillance, even though it was some distance away.

Bell, who stood for a long time, began to feel that he wanted to pee. Her pregnancy, which began to get bigger, made her use the toilet more often than other people. Bell spread his eyes and found a sign of the toilet, making him move from the queue to the toilet, just as the driver received a call from Rich.

"Yes sir." The driver replied swiftly.

"You're not home yet?"

"We're on our way, sir," he replied.

Richard looked frustrated, his voicemail was unrequited. "You're not with Bell now?"

"Mrs. Anthony wanted to buy something so we stopped by sir."

"Where is he, let me talk to him."

"Mrs. Anthony, I looked at the toilet." James, the driver, looked around when he didn't see Christabell in the long queue again. "I'll check in sir."

"Ok, ask Bell to call me after you guys get home."

"Yes sir."

James went into the outlet and looked for Bell, even to the toilet. But Bell was nowhere to be seen.

Christabell comes out of the toilet and intends to wash his hands when a woman is standing beside him.

"Hallo Christabell…" A woman's voice rang out, causing Bell to turn her head towards her.

The woman walked over. "Do you remember me?" Asked the woman.

"Mrs. Parish?" Bell stared at the woman, frozen in shock.
