"I think i could use that in conjunction with the 'Overkill' skill but that'd be using up a lot of mana, and i have magic now so i have to take that into account."
Oza was lost in thought so he didn't notice ali appear in front of him. She waved her hand in front of him catching him by surprise.
"Oza? What's got you so stuck in the clouds?" finally calming down oza just shook his head and kept on exploring the menu
"Nothing, still not over the mission."
"It's been a week and you still haven't moved on? The town is having it's annual fireworks festival and preparations are getting started."
"I should really help."
"Yeah better than just sitting here all day."
Oza just laughed as he dismissed his menu and stood up, he did a couple of stretches and soon excited the inn. The town was livelier due to the preparations, oza walked around saying hello to the people. He soon saw Sir. daniel talking with some men, after waiting for them to finish oza made his way to him.
"Hey Sir. Daniel, need any help with anything?"
"Oh oza! Just the man i needed, listen if it's not too much, i need you to help out with stepping up some stalls."
"Sounds easy enough anything else?"
"No, but i will tell you if i do."
Oza nodded as walked towards the area where stalls were being built. He soon saw the man in charge and walked up to him
"Hey Mr. Adam, anything i can be of assistance with?"
"Ah yes oza you can start out by asking if anyone needs helps with the stalls i'll be over here if you need me."
The people tasked with working on the stalls their saw him and told him to get some wooden planks and some tools. Oza complied and went to get the materials, he saw the planks laid out, he grabbed some and also grabbed the tool box, upon leaving the area he bumped into a boy who was wearing a hoodie so he couldn't make out his face but he knew he was a bit younger than him.
"Ah i'm sorry kid are you hurt?" he set down the materials as he reached out his hand to the black haired boy but the boy just slapped his hand away as he stood up again and ran. "Weird.. Ali any suspicions?"
"I've never seen him before.. and i could feel a bit of magic coming of off him."
"Well i hope he at least learns some manners geez that kid some pretty sharp nails."
Oza looked at his scratched hand which was slightly bleeding, he cover it up and went back to helping the townsfolk. Nightfall came faster than expected, oza bid everyone goodnight as he walked backed to the inn. He then managed to hear some interesting things..
"Have you seen the boy who was wearing a banged up hoodie?"
"No, but i have heard of him, why what happened?"
"I heard he was caught stealing some food but what looked like his dad found him and apologized." they kept talking as continued his walk back to the inn.
"Ali, I think i need you to keep an eye on the boy i smell something fishy"
"Sure thing, i'll tell you what i find."
She disappeared into blue pixels, oza continued his way back with something new to think about. The next day came as nothing particularly exciting happened, oza continued his duties of helping around the town. While he was on break ali appeared in front of him with the report..
"So what did you find?"
"Nothing, i didn't see the boy all day, I searched the town but nothing came up, he's most likely outside of here or the boy already left."
"Weird, I'd ask you to look more into it but that would only be a was-" some of the workers were also about to take their break as they saw oza. They called out to him cutting him off and caught him by surprise "he-hey guys, I was about to go get some food i'll see ya guys later!"
The people looked confused at how oza acted but let it go and got to their break, oza on the other hand was really worried.
"they probably think i'm some sort of crazy person by now.." ali just chuckled at oza who just sighed.. "We really need to find a way for people to see you.. it get's harder for me to keep acting like i travel alone."
"Yes i'll also try to look for a way."
"good."
Oza smiled as he and ali made their way back to the inn as oza pointed something out.
"I think ali you should dress up more, not something fancy or something but at least once in a while change out of that suit." Ali surprised calmed down and just smiled
"I like it.. i don't find it necessary."
"Well.. if you say so ali."
Ali gave a small smile to oza who walked in front of her and they talked until nightfall came, oza went and got some groceries to make for food, while ali just went along with him. They arrived back at the inn as oza made food and ate, after dinner he had a conversation with ali.
"Hey ali we should get back to danario."
"Hmm? And why is that?"
"I still haven't earned any proper money, i only get by with the help of Sir. Daniel, back in danario i can earn by going to the dungeon."
"Then you'd be leaving this town, and most likely you'd run into zeke.." oza stayed silent for a bit.
"That's fine i don't really care for him anyway, I'll prove them wrong all the ones that left me in that dungeon."
Oza just clenched his fist and ali held his hand, oza shook his head as he got ready for bed and the next days of the festival preparations.
