Mystery Guy

Roy approached Aila and Ken; he also took off his shoes and asked Aila for a dance. She willingly obliged.

"Princess Aila, this might be my last duty as a member of your team."

"Oh is that so, I hope I did not make the school year difficult for you."

"Well, to be honest, when I first knew of the offer I was just willing because of the monetary reward and the recommendation that I can take advantage of for my college education."

"Hahaha… aren't we all just after that, for the brighter future right?"

"I frankly thought you're a brat princess that will make things hard for the team, but when I get to know you… you are just like us, just with a tad bit more responsibility in the future."

"That's what I wanted, to be like you guys… to experience life like a normal teen, although we both know it wasn't always like that."

Both of them laughed when another guy approached her, also barefoot; around twenty more guys approached her all of which are part of her team.

Most of them she only met for the first time, she willingly danced with them as a sign of respect and gratitude.

Roy went back to Aila and guided her back to her chair knowing the Princess is now tired.

"Girl friend, I'll just go to the washroom, my foot needs some serious washing hahaha."

Reese was eating when Aila came back, but she stood up to help her friend.

"No, no… I'm okay, I can manage, please continue your food."

As Aila was on her way to the wash room, she saw Glenda looking at her waiting at the hallway.

"You really, like making a scene huh?"

"On the contrary, I always prefer to be on the background rather on the spotlight."

"Can you just please stop seducing my boyfriend, you danced with too many guys it's disgusting."

"Whatever Glenda, you're free to think whatever you want."

Aila tried to walk pass Glenda, but she just won't let Aila go, she intentionally tripped Aila.

Aila was about to fall but a pair of strong hands grabbed her before she fell on the ground.

Glenda fled the scene knowing someone had seen her deed.

"Are you okay?"

The guy helped her stand back on her feet.

"Yes, thanks for catching me on time."

"Don't mention it, go and wash your feet, I'll make sure no one bothers you. I'll stay outside."

"Okay thanks"

Aila went inside the washroom.

"Is he part of my security team? I have not danced with him earlier… but he seems oddly familiar to me…"

When Aila got out from the washroom, the guy looked at her and left. She was not able to confirm her speculations.

"Girl friend, you came back just in time!"

"Huh? In time for what?"

"For the awarding of the ball's star of the night."

"And this year's graduation ball's star of the night award goes to…"

"Aila Rodriguez"

Reese pushed her friend towards the stage, while the other students gave her a standing ovation.

"Aila! Aila!" The crowd chanted her name.

She came up the stage to receive the award.

"Congratulations Aila, you might want to spare us a few words."

Aila accepted the microphone and nervously spoke in front of her batch mates.

"Thank you guys for giving me this award. I don't believe I deserve this though"

The crowd reacted on her speech. "wooooohhhhh"

"I think we all deserve this award, we all attended the ball dressed in the best gowns or suits that we can; but most importantly we attended this ball being the best versions of ourselves."

The crowd clapped in agreement with her speech. With that speech she went down the stage and a few minutes later left the ballroom with Reese.

Reese again decided to come home with Aila since their graduation will be held tomorrow they wanted to spend time together before Aila will fly back to her family's palace.

The two girls decided to relax in Aila's Jacuzzi.

"My God, I never thought I needed this today."

"Hahaha, you're crazy you danced with all the team members today."

"Not all, I did not dance with that one that saved me earlier."

"Saved you from what? Who"

"From Glenda, she harassed me a bit and tripped me when I went to the washroom."

"Oh my! I did not know! Why did you not call me? I would teach that brat a lesson!"

"Hahaha chill girl! I'm okay. Thanks to that one… hmm come to think of it he is strangely familiar to me."

Aila closed her eyes trying hard to think where she last seen that guy.

"Oh yeah I remember now, I bumped with that guy at the resort last time! Oh wait I also bumped into him before the pageant… why do I always bumped into this guy?"

Reese's eyebrows furrowed.

"This guy was missed by the team… I will report about it tomorrow."

"Really, I wonder what his up to?"

"Sorry, this clearly was a lapse on our part."

"It's no big deal, he hasn't hurt me, and in fact he helped me a while ago."

Aila let out a sweet smile thinking of how their eyes met when he helped her up.

"Hey girl friend, I recognize that smile…. Is he cute?"

"What are you talking about?" Aila splashed Reese with water.

"You know what I'm talking about!" Reese splashed Aila with more water.

"Hahaha… okay, okay… He's cute; actually I think attractive is a better term to describe him."

"So you will throw away your first love for him?"

"Silly girl! Ken is not my first love; I'd consider him my puppy love, nothing more than that."

"Hey, you did not answer my question… will you throw away Ken for him?"

"Throw away? What kind of word is that he's not garbage that I can just toss out you know."

"Heh, don't use smart words with me; you know exactly what I mean."

"hahaha.. I can't escape you huh… probably I don't know, maybe."

Aila smiled and winked at Reese.

"Heh, did you just act coquettishly when you merely bumped into this one a couple of times without even knowing his name?"

"Hahaha, What's wrong, I just winked for Pete's sake! You really won't let me go with this huh."

"Good thing you know that I won't let you go with this! I should meet him tomorrow, come on promise to introduce him to me.

"I don't even know his name how can I possibly introduce him to you?"

They both laughed hysterically, Aila on the other hand is actually a little excited of the possibility of meeting the mystery guy again tomorrow.
