First Base

The biker broke the serenity of Viewpoint, the serenity that Aila was looking for, but the worst thing is that it made her feel frightened, what if he is really the black rider? Luckily she made it just in time to leave the area, even her favorite spot now had a sighting of the black rider.

Aila called Bryan and informed him of the sighting of a black rider;

"I'm not sure if he is the same one that followed us, but, I noticed the bike was a black BMW and the get-up was similar to the black rider."

Bryan immediately had it investigated, hoping that the guy was still there at the viewpoint.

When Aila arrived home, she went under her covers and was decided to still try and contact Yhuan. This is the most desperate thing she did for a guy; she texted and tried to call Yhuan but she got nothing.

"This will be the last text I will be sending you if you still won't reply; then this is the end of the line for us". Aila whispered to herself before sending the last text she would have sent Yhuan.

"Love, can we talk things over? Are you giving up on us?"

"Room 201 Bldg B at 4 Pm"

Yhuan's reply was short and unaffectionate, but it was better than nothing. Aila let out a deep sigh; she swallowed her pride once more.

"Love, I don't know exactly what made you upset this time, but I am very willing to work it out and if it is about Bryan I can explain it all."

Aila did not get a reply, she placed her phone above her chest while extending both her arms to her sides, and she is staring at the ceiling while tears are flowing down her cheeks. "Just what had to happen to my sweet love? I never expected our relationship to turn out like this." She murmured beneath her sigh.

This is a big change for Aila, she has never humbled herself in front of a man, especially if she clearly knows she did nothing wrong, but for Yhuan she takes everything in and is willing to go through more just so Yhuan can forgive her for whatever made him upset.

A few minutes later someone barge into her room, it is Reese.

"Bryan called me, and told me that you are troubled, I did not expect to see you this distressed girlfriend."

Aila hugged Reese and sobbed.

"Go ahead girlfriend; cry your heart out to make you feel better."

Aila just kept crying as Reese consoled her.

"That's okay, friend, I'm carrying extra clothes, and you can wipe your snot off my shirt"

Reese joked to Aila, she inevitably laughed and tapped her on the shoulders.

"Do you want to talk about it girlfriend?" Reese was carefully testing Aila's willingness to talk about what had happened.

Aila nodded, she wanted an insight from another person to help her see Yhuan's feelings from a different perspective.

"He followed me and Bryan on the way home, he is jealous of him thinking Bryan and I are cheating on him."

Reese's eyebrows rose, "You mean, he saw Bryan come in your house and go out the next day, right?"

"I think so." Aila was having a hard time to answer while sobbing.

"Oh, okay, he thought you two fu*ked… Now I understand why he is acting this way."

"What are you saying?"

Aila covered Reese's mouth. Reese laughed at Aila's attempt to censor her.

"Hahaha, that's true, I think what he is actually mad about, is that he never made it out of the first base and he saw Bryan sleeping over."

"What bases are you talking about?"

Being the naïve princess she was clueless about Reese's mumbling.

"Have you ever kissed him on the lips?"

Reese asked Aila straight to the point.

"No… he tried though, but I pushed him away."

Aila was so embarrassed to answer Reese.

"See, I'm right, he is upset because he isn't getting any from you!"

"Come on Reese, Yhuan is not that type of a person.

Aila was trying to save Yhuan a face to her friend.

"Aila, all men are that type of a person. I think this is the main reason why he is insecure… because he expecting more from you, but girlfriend it is not your fault, it is his problem if he feels that way."

Aila can't find reassurance from Reese, she feels like she is doing quite the opposite.

"It's okay, I will be talking to him tomorrow and will find out the truth directly from him."

Reese agreed not to draw in more conclusions, to make Aila feel better. A few minutes later Aila fell asleep on her lap. Reese carefully moved her to her pillow. Reese was still agitated seeing how Yhuan treated her best friend. She decided to go to Bryan and talk about Yhuan.

It was already 9 in the evening, the breeze is cold outside; Reese wore a coat before she set foot outside Aila's villa. She was also bringing two cups of hot coffee for them; it did not take long before Bryan arrived. He looked cool wearing his jogging trainers and bonnet.

"Why do you always look like you're going out for a run?"

Reese teased Bryan.

"Why do you always look like you're going out for a coffee?"

Bryan was trying to act smart to Reese.

"Because I am…"

She handed Bryan the coffee she made for him, Bryan giggled and accepted the coffee.

"So why did you call me out for?"

Bryan was curious about the reason Reese called her out, it was pretty rare that she talks to him like this.

"Yhuan, I don't like that guy… there is some stuff I learned about him when I was investigating him, but I could not tell Aila."

Reese was staring at the dark sky that was slightly illuminated by the moonlight.

"What did you find out?"

Bryan could not figure out why Reese decided to keep information from them.

"Do you remember the night when Aila was kidnapped? There were flashes of camera that Aila saw… It was him, taking pictures of her from afar."

"And oh, do you remember the day Aila finally accepted his love? It was the day he beat up those low life scum…. They were actually his friends; they basically set it up to make him a hero."

Bryan's face turned cold; his suspicions about Yhuan were true all along.
