After their dinner, Reese confronted Aila.

Marcus agreed, because he has been increasingly worried for his wife. He glanced at Aila and spoke to her affectionately.

Aila nodded to her husband and smiled.

"Okay, then we will talk to him after the hearing for the case of Beth's father."

The two went home with a smile on their faces. Another small battle won today, tomorrow they will face another one and hope they can win it.

Their night concluded like the nights before. Marcus wound place cream over Aila's surgical scar. The scar itself is no longer visible, however Aila's movement is still limited. It might be psychological that she stills feels like she needs to guard her abdomen.
