It's Time!

"We call this case dichorionic. It means that each fetus have their own sac and placenta." The doctor is hovering her ultrasound transducer around Aila's belly as she looks for a better view of the twins.

"How does it differ from other twins, doc?" Aila asked the doctor, as she wanted to understand her pregnancy and how it would affect her twins.

"Well, essentially; the twins here are like your regular siblings. They will not look exactly alike because the came from two different egg cells and two different sperm cells. Unlike the other type where in they came from one egg cell and one sperm cell, the egg cell then split up from there." The doctor replied to the curious couple.

Aila and Marcus nodded. They are both keenly listening to the doctor as they are anticipating to hear their twin's heartbeats.
