ONE TRUTH PER LIE

Sitting on the table, face to face ,despite the hustle and bustle in that small place , they felt as if they have been left alone in the entire world and now they have to face each other.

" you are wasting my time " , she only said it to break the silence , of the noisy place.

" Actually I want you to begin, that'll make more sense to me " , Saiph leaned forward .

" begin what?  " she was confident but Saiph's attentive eyes were painfully fixed at her.

" why you hate me? " , he somewhat whispered. This was the only question that can contain most ,if not all the answers.

" I don't hate you " , she too leaned forward resting her elbow on the table . Before she was too firm rather cold, as she started to talk she became soft, much like fragile girl.  " but you've never missed a chance to make me think the worst about you "

She waited for a response, but not even a slight hmm came out. " you have always shown me, given me the worst. All I've ever received from you are reasons to despise you "

Still plain face, without a single change in expression. She waited again for a response.

He knew if he say a single word , thing will get messed up ." yes?!" he said so she would proceed with reasoning.

" don't.. Don't act like this! " she was too used to quarrel with him that she felt awkward being given a chance to talk without his interruption.

" you won't leave"

" I won't " she assured.

" so you lost your first job because..?"

" because you demanded my resignation "

Saiph shook his head.

" yes! Due to incompetency ,being unprofessional and allegations of abrogation of your policies "

" No!  Everything ended right there and then. I didn't enforced a resignation. It must be your company's decision "

" you know better ? Your manager ordered it, almost sued me "

" I'm.. I'm sorry. I don't know about that "

" you are a puppet then!  Oh.. " she chuckled ." so do you know that you were kidnapped and sent out of state ?, and here it was me and your mess "

Saiph didn't liked that insult.  He looked around and signalled for a bottle, of anything he might bring.

" is your hand hurt? " she asked looking at the black dressing wrapped finely , from which his long fine fingers were projecting.

" no " he answered still looking away at the boy who lord knows started cooking some drink or what!

" and I know I went away.  " he said as he saw the boy finally bringing him bottle of lemon malt. He took a sip ,

" so what big deal that brought you ? "

" nothing, nothing.  Just the usual. That I made it up   to take revenge from you. That I lied, cause I am a liar"

" I don't think I said that. I never called you a liar " he tried to recall.

"YOU didn't " ,her eyes lowered and her voice became heavy.

" people say weird things , all sort of things! " he didn't wanted her to go emotional, he certainly couldnt handle that.

" I don't care about the people " her head still facing down. Saiph drank his malt, while staring at her coffee brown hair.

After some moments she lifted her head , Saiph saw tears in her eyes but he tried not to make it obvious. " then,  I lost again, completely. " she was speaking with brief pauses as to not control her words and emotions. " I know I wasn't fair but neither were you.  At least I didn't lie,  nor then nor now . You were chasing Damien and Tim will die "

" stop!  Stop. " Saiph closed his eyes from these bitterly bare words. " don't say.. ...Why would you say that?"

" because it is the truth " she was about to cry for sure.

" please! Don't..  " he was pained.

" it's you who hide from truth Saiph "

" shut... " he didn't want to say it but he couldn't resist " up " he said quietly.

" he is my brother. He have thalasemia and it's his last... His last.. " and she began to cry, with her head on the table she silently sobbed.

This was the position he never wanted to be in. He looked around, if people are noticing or not.

" Bliss,  Bliss.. " he shook her gently.

He held her hand, even tried to lift her head up but neither he had ever encountered such situation before nor he knew how much appropriate it was .

He got up and sat beside her, to cover her from being noticed. Now what next. He hesitatingly , ran his fingers through her hair to reveal her face, hair were too silky to be handled with the light hesistaging hands. He got close to her ear and whispered :

" he is going to be fine. "

She looked at him with tears glittering in her eyes.

" what's wrong with you?  All you say are lies yet.... Yet.... " she cleared her tears, " one truth,  try saying one true word Saiph ".

And something seized over him. It was not a challenge, nor was she mocking him.  Her face expressing pain, eyes filled with tears , was close to his. Her breath as wet as her eyes ,  and looks demanding one word with pure sincerity.

" not Saiph. My name... Is not..... Saiph" , as he saw her eyes changing expressions, he felt helpless. The words can never be taken back, time can never go back now. He can't change what he has done.

Bliss pushed him away, their eyes locked with each other, but now Saiph had become the grieved one . How bad he regrets and how relieved he feel at the same time.

He became entirely lost after hearing his own words.

" what? " , she asked as if trying to say what happened? Are you okay?  Are you in your senses?
