I really really like you

The next day Nari was impatiently pacing around the living room. "Should I call him? But what if he feels pressured because of this. Did I do the wrong thing by saying that? Should I have just stayed quiet and not revealed my feelings? It's all because of that byung chul, had he not joked about liking me I wouldn't have rushed to confess my feelings for him. Shit I am going to die from nervousness. I think I have to get a puff today. I thought that I wouldn't even touch it till the time I was going to stay here but thank God I brought a packet with me." Nari quickly went to her room, opened her suit case then grabbed the packet and the lighter and put it in her hoodie's pocket. "I shouldn't smoke in the house instead I should go outside." Nari thought to herself and then she went outside to find a perfect place to smoke. She walked and walked until she found an abandoned alley. She put on her hoodie's cap and then took out her cigarette and lit it. She kept on smoking until all of it was gone.

She squatted there and surfed through her phone when someone called her and she saw that it was Yon. She hesitated for awhile but quickly picked it up. "Yeah?" "I have something important to say. So can you come to the park?" "Sure. When?" "Now." "Now? Couldn't we meet a little later." "Ummm....can I say no?" "Okay then, if it is that urgent." Nari was walking towards the park when she met byung chul on the way. "Hi!" Nari waved at him and he just gave an awkward smile in reply. "Where you headed to?" "I am going back home." Byung chul replied. "Yah! Why are you acting so awkward?" "Na-Nari-yah. What about my reply?" "Reply for what?" "My proposal." "Stop joking like that. You are making me feel really awkward. It feels so real. I know that you don't think of me in a romantic way. So just stop it." "How do you know that?" "Huh?" "How do you know that if I think about you in a romantic way or not?" "Why so serious? Wasn't this all a joke?" "No it wasn't. Not to me, I don't know about you." "Byung chul are you being serious right now?" "Yeah." "Since when?" "I liked you from a long time back since we were small. You were my first love. So do you accept it or not?" "Byung chul-ah. I am going to be honest with you. I don't have feelings for you, I have always thought of you as a good friend of mine and nothing more than that." "Are you sure that is the only reason?" "Ani. I love someone else. I am really sorry that I couldn't understand that your feelings for me were sincere." "It's alright. I somehow guessed that you were gonna say this but I still gave it a shot thinking that you might change your mind." "I am really sorry." "It's okay. We can't force someone to feel the same way as we do." Buying chul smiled but nari could feel that he was sad deep inside. "Where are you going?" Byung chul asked to change the topic. "I am going to meet someone." " Is it the person you love?" "Yeah." "Well you don't want to meet him smelling that way." "Oh shoot! Do I smell really bad? What kind of smell is it? Do I smell of sweat?" "Ani. You smell of cigarettes." Nari pressed her lips together and kept quiet. "Well here take this gum and it will supress the smell a little. Good luck for whatever reason you are meeting him." Byung chul smiled but this time his smile meant sincerity. Nari tightly hugged him. "Thank you. You're the best." "Go before I change my mind and I am getting addicted to the smell of your cigarette." Nari broke the hug and then quickly went to the park. She saw Yon at a corner so she neared him but kept 5 feet distance with him so he doesn't smell her. "Yon?" "Oh hi! What are you doing there?" "Keeping some distance." "Why?" "Just like that. What was that you wanted to say to me?" "I thought about it- ani I didn't even think about it. Yesterday when you said that you loved me I involuntarily let out a smile and I understood that I already liked you but I just pushed those feelings aside. But when you confessed yesterday I realized that I really really like you. I want to date you." Nari chuckled and was about to near him when she stopped in her tracks. "Nari. Why the hell did you smoke today and that to all the pieces in the packet?! I so hate myself." Nari cursed herself and before she realized anything Yon hugged her. "Please don't say that you changed your mind." Yon said while his grip around her waist got tighter. "No I didn't change my mind and I am really happy that you accepted me but the problem is that I smell weird so that is why I didn't approach you." Nari said while blushing. "You do smell like cigarettes but I don't mind it. It's actually strangely addictive." Nari giggled at his words. "You know something?" Yon asked while he leaned his face on the top of her head. "What?" "It doesn't feel great to give only one sided hug." Nari smiled and tightly hugged him back.
